what is the big deal about the stupid wyrmhero blade? its not that good. not that fast. i bet excalibur could hit 3 times before wyrmhero. so does any1 object to how shity the wyrmhero is?
 
Not really, it serves as a trophy for your achievement in obtaining the three badges. Besides, there's nothing else worthy enough to fight after you beat Omega Mark XII and Yiazmat. (the exception being the rare game)
So.....what would you prefer? Some medal that sits in your item inventory that has absolutely no use? Or a sword that can be used? I, like many others would prefer the latter. To top it off, the Wyrmhero blade has an 80% chance of dealing an extra hit; this makes the Wyrmhero blade, have a combo rate that is 4 times than that of the Masamune. All in all, its not entirely without use. :monster:
 
i supose it looks cool but do u think excalibur is better? besides its holy element

Its hard to tell. Its certainly not useful against regular enemies; its charge time is too low. However, I would say its better against enemies that have over 100,000 health - more specifically, the Rare Game Entites.

In that video, someone defeats Zodiark within a minute - with one of the characters wielding the Wyrmhero Blade. His health deteriorates very quickly with this weapon.
 
Okay the sword is great, that's what I think but.....you get it AFTER every boss in the game (Leaving out the final battles) is beaten xD
What good is a blade that you can only get after every challenge in the game is complete, sure as a prize for achievement I can wave this sword at enemies that will die with in 2 hits e.e;;

It's a good prize, but probably would've felt more worth while if you were able to obtain it before you've defeated nearly or all the hardest bosses. Like if you got it for obtaining every Esper or something, so you still had more use for it than just RG hunting...
 
I agree with DLFlux and tifa on this one, whats the point in obtaining the wyrm slayer if theres no more big bosses to use it on and there only the rg left, not much point in my mind.
 
Hmm, where do you even get the wyrmhero blade? I'm probably a long ways from actually beating this game, I'm only at the Stillshrine after you talk to the guy at the ice mountain which for some reason the name escapes me at the moment.

Ok, what would you have liked the reward to be? If it were a key item, there would be no use to it at all....making it even more worthless.
Seriously, most people don't aim for the Wyrmhero Blade, they aim to complete the challenges that give you the sword - The Yiazmat Hunt, Omega Mark XII, and the fishing challenge. Its just a bonus that rewards you for your efforts.

Bur Omisace is the mountain's name. And you have to get 3 crests, one from Yiazmat, one from Omega MkXII, and one for catching the Lord of the Pond, hardest fish in the game. So no chance of getting it for a while.
 
Well I never really did use the sword once I got it, but I guess it's better than nothing. It's stats are pretty good, and it may come in handy if I ever decide to go back and get a perfect game.

So no, I don't think it's totally worthless. It still would've been nice to have it earlier in the game though =/
 
Spears aren't that amazing ^
The Zodiac Spear may have the highest attack damage, but its combo rate is horrendous. When compared to the Masamune, it deals less damage over time due to the Masamune's high combo rate, when coupled with Genji Gloves.

It has the highest combo rate for any weapon in the game......so you see, its actually a powerful weapon, and thus a useful weapon.
 
Okay, I got the sword....Yes I got it and....IT'S WEIRD!!!
For one thing when one strikes with it, it makes the weirdest sounds ._.;; But I suppose that's not as bad at this: The sword has no element, yet it heals some enemies that strikes!
Maybe there was something I missed in the description but that's just weird. ._.;;
 
It has the Holy element, hence why it heals certain enemies. Most enemies are vulnerable to that element (especially the undead, and dungeon crawlers)....what monsters are you fighting?
