I hated the fact that I had to pay a monthly fee to play my favorite RPG.
I hated the fact that I had to get a cable to hook up to the PC, which was at the time of XI still running on dial-up.
I hope they don't, but if they do proceed to make one and retail one, I'm not going to be a customer.
Unless of course if they try that thing ---
expanding until they can expand no more.....thing.
Then they'll be forced to, and voila! yet another onliner.
Or, of course, the classic, 'We're bored with what we've got, why not make a new one from scratch?' idea.
I'm hoping not.
I'm sure Square Enix announced there will be another MMORPG. I'm not bothered as long as it isn't in the main numbered series. Just hope they call it Final Fantasy: Online instead of like Final Fantasy XIV or XV or whenever they plan on releasing it.
Like I said I hope not and I agree that it shouldn't be in the main series.
Or at least not the numbered one that can throw people off and buy it before they read the fine print or the cover or whatever.
