Why wouldn't Yunalesca just... (SPOILERS)

My question now is...

Why would Yunalesca continue the cycle of the Final Summoning? Sin could have been destroyed right away rather than endure one thousand years of endless and needless death, if only someone had just killed the aeon and Yu Yevon from the start. Why wouldn't Yunalesca want that? Why wouldn't she tell people what was really inside Sin, so they could destroy it, rather than continue feeding Sin its power (a Final Aeon)? It doesn't really make sense... She didn't start out a bad person, she wanted to help. Sooo...what's the deal there?

Thats cause back then they thought Sin was impossible to kill, and it wasn't just Yunalesca that knew about about sin, it was also the Maesters of Yevon. They thought the only way to save spira was with the final summoning, that would never fully kill sin, just its shield, they didn't know how to really destroy Yu Yevon 100%. On top of that not even the Fayth's knew how to fully destroy sin same as Yunalesca..
