Why would someone enjoy being hated by others?

I find it very hard to believe that anyone would actually find pleasure in being hated by others.
If anything, I would think that they'd only find satisfaction from the attention that they receive from being hated.

Yeah I thought the same. In fact I have met several people who have told me that the thing that they enjoyed the most was being hated by someone.
Is it selfishness or maybe that fact that no one loves them anymore?
Maybe it allows them to believe that they've actually managed to achieve something in their lives?
lol, maybe they get attention from it, or it could be that they think theyll get friends, the more famous you are, the more people know you, well, you can get friends like that, and if theres alot of hated people, you can befriend them...
