Honestly Square has seriously messed up with how they have handled FFXVs uh... "promotion". Instead of consentrating on why we should be excited for XV specificaly, we instead get to hear about FFvXIIIs production and it's like... ughh!
"Hey fans! Look at all these cool awesome things that you saw about VXIII! They're not in XV! Oh hey, you guys were pretty excited for Stella huh. Well we removed her, and instead you're getting Aerith version 3.7989. But we won't tell you why you should look forward to these changes. Please be excited! K'thnxBye!"
You don't do that. You don't get the fans excited by showing them things they won't be getting in the final release. There is a good reason why most developers only talk about scrapped ideas a couple of years after the game's release.
Tabata has been completely undermining the entire "marketing" campaing with his ineptitude.
About Luna beign Aerith ver. whaterver. Look at what we know about her; supposedly strong willed and passionate yet nothing shows this, teenaged looking design, posesses a "unique" ability relating to the games mythos, loveinterest. So did I describe Aerith, Terra, Yuna, Garnet, Ashe or Luna. Seriously Luna's character is riddled with clichés that have been done to exhaustion. Stella would not only have been the female lead but also Noctis' rival. A reluctant antagonist. No matter what you think about the two, one thing remains true; Stella had so much potential, and Luna does not.
