I'd say everyone except Cait Sith.
Cloud was one of the best main characters I have grown with during the game. He proved you can do anything if you have strong will power. I first fell in love with him when I found out he actually showed a warm side when he first met Aerith.
Tifa wasn't my cup of tea first. But when I pushed all the crazy fanboy boobie lovers aside, I found out she is one of the sweetest, sensitive, caring people. And because of her sensitive personality, we can both relate. She's grown and matured as well =)
I simply admired Aerith for being so open to people, as I myself sometimes find it hard to be extroverted to strangers. She appears to be child-like and immature and this is what people hate about her. This dissappoints me. There is so much to her character that people don't take to heart. She's caring in her own way, she's spiritually strong, and made Cloud chill out for awhile.
Vincent- There was so many unknown things about Vincent that made him so interesting, but now they're explained in DoC XD. He's still pretty cool though. I can definitely see the similarities between him and Cloud AFTER FFVII.
Barret- OH MY GOD. This guy is so bad ass. I love this guy. He made such a comedy relief in the game. Even when he showed everyone an attitude, I still loved him! Favorite part in the game: When he punched Biggs so hard he flew into our camera view XD.
Red XIII- He already got points from me for being a talking animal.
Cid- Another potty-mouth in the group. But he's more of a jack-ass potty mouth. Still, I like him because I liked his weapon of choice and his cocky attitude.
Yuffie- I didn't like her at first! She was a tad annoying, but still! She was funny annoying, spunky, and she was the only girl that had the guts to kiss Cloud in the Gold Saucer. She's like an average teenage girl with ninja attributes. That's hot.
Sephiroth- I absolutely hate Sephiroth! He put all his good looks to waste when he chose Jenova over human sanity

Ok but seriously, he's one of my favorite villains of all time. He didn't do it for revenge, but for power. I hate villains that become evil just for revenge. Sephiroth is definitely a great antagonist, and I felt proud of myself when I defeated him.
Reno- When I played FFVII, he seemed so non-chalant unlike his role in Advent Children. But either way, I liked it. I always found him to be the ugly hott guy (before AC). I'm thinking it was because his whole messy look in work clothes, and that he was just SO COOL even after you first defeat him in Midgar.
