I had this little idea just out of the blue. It's just out of the spirit of good fun, fellas, so if you get 0 votes, it probably doesn't mean anything

So what's the point of the poll if everyone has a different definition? I'm going to end up thinking a certain staff person is cool in terms of my definition, when people may have voted regarding something else, and the results are going to be all wrong.

Not really, because it's who YOU think is the coolest by YOUR standards. If I set a criteria, it may not necessarilly apply to all members views.

Just for the sake of argument, not because I can't grasp what "cool" is (because I can, I see what you're saying): sure I can vote regarding what I view as "cool," but if other people vote using different conceptions, then the votes reflected are going to consist of a variety of ideas and won't truly reflect what any member defines as "cool."

For a more lucid example: if you asked who has the bigger ass, Maria or Judy, we would vote Maria, whose buttocks are larger because she's hispanic. But then along comes 18th-Century Cedric who thinks of asses as the animal; and we all know that Judy, wife of Barnyard Bill, has the biggest donkey in town on her farm. So he would vote Judy, whose buttocks are rather small because she's Welsh. Now we have a tally of votes that is completely useless, because a specific standard was not defined.

Anyway, can't say I know everyone on that list, so I can't make a sound choice.
