Ok there isn't a lot of action in the kingdom hearts area so i want to make a thread :)

anyway after the trailer we've seen and the small amount of information given, who is actually excited for KH3D now?

At first I was skeptical, I really doubted the game because I didn't really like many of the other handheld games, but omg KH3D looks amazing!!

I absolutely love that you can play as Riku now and the fighting style is amazing.

this is pretty much the sole reason I will be buying a 3DS :D

you?

I'm looking forward to the game because I actually liked all the previous KH games (console and handheld) I played, so I have high expectation that I feel confident will yet again be met.

I'm curious about the gameplay being in 3D and the focus on "drop" and such, but I'm more interested to see what the story is gonna be. Obviously how and why we see younger Riku and Sora, and what it means to see "Ansem" and Xemnas opposing Riku and Sora respectively. I've got my own theories after playing the series thus far, but who knows :hmmm:

I started on Re:Coded and there's already a couple of things I'd love to see some additional info on-maybe it may get touched upon in 3D before everything finally ties together in KH3?

I am getting a 3DS for this reason as well. I have a Riku addiction (And a Rikku one as well :P) The fighting style does intrigue me. I normally don't like handheld games like KH (CoM pissed me off soooo much) But, I am going to give this one a try.
I enjoy most Square Enix games, and bought a DS just to play Valkyrie Profile - Covenant of the Plume and now the other games of FF

I've actually never played a KH before (waiting for the first one to come in the mail), but Im looking foward to KH3D, it looks rather fun. And I've already got a 3DS, so why not at least try it?

One of the main reasons I already have a 3DS is for this game. There are going to be a lot of new worlds from what I have heard. The only thing I am skeptical about is the fact that the role between playing as Sora and Riku will be changed randomly. To me it seems like it may become more frustrating the more you play it. I will for sure get this game despite negative reviews I might hear though.

The only handheld title I've found worthwhile is Birth by Sleep. On par with KHII, IMHO.

Frankly, though, interquels are starting to run their toll, and I hope SE wraps them up quickly. KHIII needs to get underway, and not take as long as Versus XIII to be released.

I feel like this game may be the start of Square not dicking around with KH. Let's face it, Re-coded, BBS, and 358, were jokes. This game looks different though. I had almost lost faith in the series before seeing this trailer. Finally we get to play As Sora, and Riku again, and the story isn't a lame way to milk more money out of KH, actually it probably is, but whatever, you get to play as Riku again that's more than enough reason to be excited. I can atleast promise it will be better than 358...... oh dear god..... 358........

Hell yeah. I'm interested to see how the new gameplay style will work out. Also I'm interested to see what new depth the story will bring to the KH universe.

3D isn't an interquel. It takes place after KHII and KH:C. Its the next game in the story line, and its said its events directly lead to KHIII.

Im really excited, cause it looks like a great game, plus neku! Even if i didnt have a 3DS i would get it just cause TWEWY things going on.

3D is a story focused on Sora and Riku's Mark Of Mastery Exam, just like did Ventus, Aqua and Terra did a years ago.
Riku actually had a haircut, but I don't know why.
Also Sora's clothes are different.. so.

Neku is also featured in the game, with the Reapers' game. Haven't played
The World Ends With You by the way.

Well, I am too excited for the upcoming game, seems to be interesting and it's not a reason at all. I wonder if it'll be released at other consoles?

I want to be excited for this game, really I do, but it looks to be nothing less than a milking, and I dont appreciate corporations trying to milk my money from me.

I am quite looking forward to it, I will probably get a 3DS just to play it. I am gutted they cut Riku's hair though :(

lol, I was too. I suppose realistically there's no reason for him to keep long hair, but realism in KH? Really? xD

The only thing I can think of is that they wanted to show KH3D takes place after KH2. Same ages but a different appearance shows us it's post KH2, for sure.

I mean, I get the confusion. Why Sora and Riku needed to age-back for their Mark of Mastery Exams doesn't make sense to me personally, but it does give an excuse for new outfits (I guess they're saving some designs for KH3?).

Story really looks interesting though. There appears to be some significant flashbacks that explains some things (and likely gives more questions; KH Team, you trolls xD)
