Seifer was just a big bully to Squall So he deserves to die.
This bully did this to others to mask his pain and hurt. He doesn't need death, he needs help.

in my honest opinion, if Seifer were to have died, the game wouldn't have had the fierce rivalry throughout the whole game between Squall and Seifer. And to me, that added to the effect of the game and i found Seifer, to be a more challenging aspect to it than the fight with Edea and also Ultimecia at the end.

ahh... sorry, what i meant was that without Seifer, almost half the game wouldn't have existed. Both Squall and Seifer are cool. Why? Because they both have Gunblades. YES! I would want Squall to cut Seifer up into tiny pieces. I wanted him to do it right when I saw him get a scar on his face. But I wanted it even more when Seifer ordered for him to be tortured.
