It's such a joyous event. The kind of thing that makes your day.

A little over a year ago one of my favorite bands, Mr. Big, reunited. They released a new album earlier this year. I just got it and it's fucking amazing. You can definitely tell their sound has changed and unlike some bands, they changed for the better when keeping up with the "current sound" of a lot of today's bands. I've no delusions that this album is gonna make mainstream charts but I don't care. I still love these guys and it's great that they've got Paul Gilbert back. Richie Kotzen was good. But Gilbert just fits their sound and style more.

Spread the joy. :dave:

For me it sucked when the Gin Blossoms broke up and became the Gas Giants, because even though that band was still good, they weren't as good as the original. So when the Gin Blossoms reunited a few years back it was absolutely wonderful, they even did a fresh tour so I got to see them in concert finally (and met them) and it was amazing :woo:

Also, the numerous times Sunny Day Real Estate got back together after breaking up. I wish they were still together, but I also love Jeremy Enigk's solo stuff and the Fire Theft album that was basically SDRE minus Dan Hoerner. All incarnations of them are good and along the same vein of music, so I'm always happy when they reform in some way and create new music.

I remember after Stabbing Westward had broken up in 2001, I was really hoping they'd get back together. Then I remember hearing about them on the radio, and how one of them was a radio DJ and another was working on some other project or something and it was said they would never get back together. Here it is 10 years later, and they still haven't. :( If they did get back together though, I'd be buying their next CD immediately.

I would love to see Van Halen get back together as well. That could happen, but it's highly doubtful. With Eddie Van Halen's dictatorship like ways and his "my way or the highway" attitude, Michael Anthony would never come back. And then there's the Diamond Dave saga. His showmanship ways have proven in the past that it can irritate Eddie to the point of booting him from the band. And Michael Anthony basically got disowned because he decided to keep association with Sammy Hagar, in which Eddie doesn't like. If they ever did get back together, they'd make a killing at concerts. I'd like to see that happen.
