What's your highest quickening chain?

Title pretty much speaks for itself, I saw a thread on monster kill chains so why not a quickening chain thread.

My highest is about 40 and that was hard to do. I killed some high level boss at max hp with it. I think it was that big malboro in the feywood.

Good god how can you even get into double figures? It gets too fast at about 5 for me. I keep mesing up by getting into a rhtym of pressing R2
My biggest is 5, which I got against the Garuda outside The Tomb of Raithwall. I think it took off about 6500 including Inferno

Mine is about 16/17 but its so random i can still sometimes only get 3! Whats the best end spell you can get afterwards? Is it Arc Blast!?!?

OMG!! I think mine is like 8 but i just figured out how to not screw it up... You gotta tell whats your strategy?? Do you have some kinda slow spell you put on your TV or what??

I just barely got the bare minimum for Black Hole once (4 rank 1 4 rank 2 and 4 rank 3 quickenings), but I guess one thing to ask...did you get 40 rank 1s or are they 40 of different ones? because 40 rank ones really isnt that hard if you have quick reflexes and such, but if you got like....20 rank 1s 15 rank 2s and 5 rank 3s or something like that, well hot damn you're amazing

In regards to someone asking which is the best combo you can get its Black Hole, Whiteout is before that with 3 of each, ark blast before that with 2 of each and I think windburst is before that with 5 rank 3s (really confuses me because that seems harder than ark blast in my eyes)

It was pure luck on that one. I usually get around 15-20 and sometimes 30. Only got to 40 once.

My highest was 18, the first time I got Black Hole it was amazing.
Problem is I still need the 2nd to last one for the Sky Pirate Treasure "Gabranth" to be unlocked ><.

Most of the time I'm hitting for chain 12 and Arc .... something.
To be honest I'm not impressed with the Quickenings as over a slightly longer time you can do just as much damage with the right Gambits set up. In my opinion Square failed with this instalments version of the "limit break" technique and the Espers.

All out attack is the way to go for consistent and quick damage.
