Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy are 2 different univerises. What applies in one, doesnt the other. Hence the reason Tidus, Aeris and Auron are present.
Also in the opening FMV, Auron holds up the flask to Sin. Like someone does when they hold a drink and toast to someone.

No scene in Kingdom Hearts depicts what is in his bottle. Also, Kingdom Hearts is non-canon, and cannot be used as "proof" or evidence for a claim on a Final Fantasy game. Take Cloud's wing which he has in KH1, for example.
Alcohol is extremely flammable, and considering what he uses his bottle for during the game (his Overdrive 'Tornado'), we see that his area of attack erupts in flames. Though it escapes me how it's set alight...
