I would like to know as well. Also, how do you increase your user level? I've seen people with thousands of posts at level zero.

Gil is gotten by defeating monsters in the RPG..
And increasing user levels? Just go into the RPG. Your levels are increased as you progress in the RPG. It won't be increased even if you have millions of posts.

You gain Gil and levels (consequently HP and MP also) by accessing the RPG via the button at the top of the main page. However you can only access the RPG by gaining 50 posts - though the automatic process takes a couple of hours after this. As such, don't hassle people with pointless questions regarding the matter.
