Haha, sorry for that title but I couldn't resist. FFVIII is my favourite FF and Squall's eternal "...whatever."''s are stuck in my head.
I absolutely loved forums back in the day, I can't even begin to tell you how many Proboards I made (and yes, Proboards are still a thing!). It was such a thrill to see that someone had posted back hours, days or even weeks later and I miss that casual engagement that was so much more significant than the fast paced expected responses these days.
I love singing and song writing and playing games still, all inspired by my gaming adventures. I hope to slowly meet you all, with no timely expectation 💜

Welcome to the forums! Definitely a lot quieter these days, but something about forums still feels "better" than the fast paced social media these days. :D

I really have a soft spot for FFVIII, so it's good to see that it's still so many people's favourite.

Forums had a vibe that nothing else has really replaced: slower tempo, lower pressure, but somehow more meaningful because people actually sat with what you wrote and came back when they could.

I prefer forums over things like facebook and Instagram for this very reason. Sad to see so many forums go the way of the dodo.

My favorite final fantasy is FVII , mainly for nostalgia reasons.

That title definitely worked—Squall’s “…whatever.” is iconic, so no apologies needed 😄. It’s cool how Final Fantasy VIII still leaves that kind of lasting impression; some characters just stick with you forever.
I really get what you mean about old forums too. There was something special about logging back in and seeing replies trickle in over time, it felt more personal, like conversations had space to breathe instead of everything needing instant reactions. Pro boards brings back memories!
Also love how your passion for singing and songwriting grew out of gaming, that’s such a creative crossover. Looking forward to seeing you around and getting to know you.
