Okay I need a little guidance as to how I should get the 12 rounds of Pulse ammo needed for the Lionheart, I just finished fighting Edea for the second time, and am now on disc 3. Squall is about lvl 40 I'm almost positive and my other members are like lvl 25-27. Now what would be the easiest and or quickest way to get the pulse ammo where should I go or what should I look for or who should I fight right now. Becuase I really don't wanna have to play F ing cards in Balamb for more then 4 hours trying to get Elnoyle cards is there any other ways?
 
Theres an Elnoyle in Esthar that drops 4 a pice every time you kill it (according to Dave) you could just refine them and your done

You can also refine laser cannons - makes 5 a peice- from the mobile type 8 in the lunatic pandora and Im pretty sure the power generator can be refined into 20 of them. Blitz's drop them (rarely) or you can find one in the lunatic pandora

You can also play cards - collect elnoyle cards, 10 of those make one energy crystal which can be refined into 10 pulse ammos

Ruby dragons also occasionally drop energy cryastals aswel

You can fight an Elnoyle (if I remember correctly) In Esthar that will give you an Energy Crystal if you beat it. You can fight it more than once.

Ruby Dragons are in the Deep Sea Research Center and in Trabia Canyon.

You can also fight Behemoth in Esthar for Energy Crystals.

Ruby Dragons can be found either in the research facility thingy, that mountain trail near trabis and on the islansd closest to heaven or hell, can never remember which is which but it's the one on the left side of the map
 
Ruby Dragons are on the Island closest to Hell... plus they can also be found in Esthar.

But like has been said, the easiest place to get them is the Elnoyle in Esthar... seriously... put ENC-NONE on and from the Ragnarok's landing pad go down (left), then keep going left until you come to an Esthar transport terminal and go up (right) and it will take you to a screen where the Elnoyle is sitting next to the edge of one of the walkways. Talk to it and you will fight it (even with ENC-NONE on). Kill it, you get the Energy Crystals... run off to the next screen, turn around and go back and POW! The Elnoyle is back.

This is the easiest was to get 100 pulse ammo (which is Irvine's best limit shot), and obviously needed for the Lionheart. But you also need Energy Crystals themselves for some other ultimate weapons, so you may want to stash a few of thsoe for keeps... plus they also refine into 3 ultimas... the best attack junctioning magic in the game... this little exploit is fast and easy.

Of course, if you're on disc 4 and can't get inside to Esthar anymore... well... I would say your best bet would be to run around outside of Esthar, on the walk ways o the world map... you'll run into the same creatures that you run into inside the city, itself... including Ruby Dragons and Elnoyles.
 
Erm

You lot are crazy. The easiest way to get 100 ultima for all your characters and as many energy crystals to use or mod is to go into Esthar on disc 3 after the Lunar Cry and fight the imposter Elnoyle Man.
If you were leaving Odine's Lab and you could go left to the save point or right to the car rental/exit then go up (the path has a glowing arrow motif) there should be a dark coloured human figure sat over the edge of the path. When you talk to him he says something along the lines of "hehehehehe" before forcing you into an Elnoyle battle.

TURN OFF MUG if you use it and junction 100xdeath to Squall's ST-ATK. If you got Odin on disc 2 he will randomly help but with at least 1 of your other characters using St ATK-100xSleep and Squall with death the Elnoyle wont live long.

Every time you win you should get no less than 2 Energy Crystals. So leave the screen and come back and the guy is there again so you can repeat the fight.

Elnoyles are rare in Esthar so this is a godsend. 1 energy crystal turns into 10 pulse ammo or 3 Ultimas. So I managed to get myself 20 pulse ammo, enough crystals for junk shop work and 3x100 ultima

The only downside to doing this was an Elnoyle has about 600+ exp so you will max out in no time. BUT if you have a crappy character you can lend them a junction that has Str Bonus, Vit Bonus, Spr Bonus or Mag Bonus and let them sit out the battle and max them out. They will end up decent without a GF junctioned

later in Ultimecia's castle you will lose the GFs for a while and having these tough characters makes getting them back a walk in the park.
 
Awesome, yeah I actually remember that odd guy who is an Elnoyle is Esthar. But I'm still not sure as to his exact location so he's in Esthar itself right? Do you have a screenshot of the area he appears in? I'm definitely gonna fight him until I have 100 energy crystals and my guys are maxed. :p

Like everyone else said, Deep Sea or Elnoyle is your best bet. Elnoyle being the better option, of course.

yea carding/defeating elynole on disc 4 is the easiest way. i carded him on my no level game and received energy crystal things to create all the ultimate weapons.
 
if this means anything to you i just started a game and was carding bite bugs in balamb and got an elonoyle card so thats always an option as well

A lot of people get this wrong. It's NOT Elnoyle Cards, its Elvoret Cards.
 
ah your completely right my bad yeah so dont listen to me im kinda a noob compared to everybody else here lol
