what happened to Roxas?

I've been wondering what happened to Roxes after the memory scyscraper event, and I know he's alive because his place in "proof of existence" is still lit up

so any ideas?

The events at Memory Skyscraper took place in Sora's heart, I believe. Roxas never died - I'll assume you've just confused your terminology and actually do know that he's half of Sora.

As for his spot in the Proof of Existence, I'll check that right now actually - however, if it is still lit up, it's obviously because he is not dead. If Sora dies then that light may fade but, until then, Roxas is still "alive."

EDIT:
I just checked and, yes, you're right about his light still being "active" and I'll stand by my theory on why.
 
After reaching the area when Sora was kept asleep, Roxas merged with him in order to complete Sora's heart. Roxas appeared before Sora near the Skyscraper of Memories to test him, but all of that, I believe, was only happening in Sora's mind.

Incidentally, do you think it was in his mind, or do you think they took the easy route and placed that battle in his heart?

I've only assumed it's in his heart, given the battle location is suitably named "Dive into the Heart."
 
Well, in Final Mix, if you lose that battle, you stay dead....

Roxas was indeed with Sora until the events of Memory Skyscraper. He wanted to test Sora because he wanted to know why the Keyblade chose him.
 
Since the start when Roxas found Sora Roxas has been with him and his sign in proof exsistance being lit shows that he's there but he's Sora's other half.

Or something like that.....
 
ok thank you all who posted the info was greatly appreciated the reason I asked was because I hadn't played in months so I forgot about half of the cutscenes so to you and great replayability it all makes sence
 
Roxas just returned to complete Sora, well I think the game explained most of that really O_O
