...days where we skive off school for a rather ridiculous reason, be it "I can't be bothered", "I can't face him tomorrow!" or "I have homework that I've not done, I'll just stay home and do it!"

I woke up at half 7 today, dozed off for a second and it was half 8, I'd already missed my bus, so I asked mother to drive me in to school...but I only have 2 classes today and a hospital appointment at lunch, there was no point in making the effort to go in. So, I was up at half 10 instead. :derek:

I'd say excuses like that are more acceptable than "I can't be bothered - let's go to the beach 4 days out of 5 and get pissed!" that some people use. <_<

I only really skived off school when I had shitty lessons, like PE, and I know we were going to do something horrible, like the run. Mainly because my time could be spent better at home.

I've skived off school/college to have a coursework day though. Much more productive than doing lessons I can catch up with easily.

Every Monday, last lesson. We have P.E and they take a paper register, which never gets given in, instead of the electronic one we regularly use. It's so easy to skive then xD

I was bad for this especially at school. It wasnt that i couldnt be bothered i just generally wasnt interested in half the subjects i was learning. Math, Engllish French i just couldnt care. I always turned up for PE and art as they were subjects i enjoyed. When entering my 5th year at school i was offered an ultimatum, basically they let me stay on under the condition that i dont skive again ever. If i did they said i would be kicked out of school, although tbh i knew that wouldnt happen my school was very lax when it came to rules.
Ive never had a good excuse really for skiving, in my defence i just didnt care enough to be there. Saying that though i passed all my exams with nae bad grades
Oh and aye i left school soon as possible and ive never looked back since

I've done it twice at secondary school because of general shitty days which weren't even going to be productive though secondary school was crap anyway. I haven't skived of college though, it's too important and I don't really want to be playing catch up, especially in subjects which we move quick such as law. Plus, my free periods are spaced out as nicely as I could ask do I don't have the need to skive.

I'm bad, I skive off a class every week nowadays.

Though in my opinion the classes aren't very important, just tutorials on how use the basic of programs, sort of like beginner Photoshop, beginner Illustrator etc. My head of year told me, that they only teach basics, it's up to the student if they want to further their skills. I've been using a majority of the programs since I was 15, After Effects is the only program I don't have a clue how to use.

Sometimes I skip lectures only because the room is too hot, the air is stale and I end up walking out with severe headaches or migraines which I would happily like to avoid. Plus all I do is doodle or sleep in lectures because the lecturer has the second most boring voice I've heard.
