Lol could someone please make a list (if possible) of the welding materials and what monsters to get them from. trying to get meh welding skill up so i can make some good stuff, but i don't really wanna put the actual points in welding.
 
Iron - Welding Skill = 10 I think
Drops from Desert Scorpion 1/2 and Sand Worm

Desert Ore - Welding Skill = 30 I think
Drops from Harpies and various other things

Pin Needles - Welding Skill = 30?
Drops from cactuars


That's all I can think of. You'll need at least 10 points in welding to start off with.
 
You can also get Black Metal from Arkanae and Iron from the Vanir King, but you'd only be able to get them by helping someone beat a boss.
 
Oh and u can get bomb cores from the bombs at nibelheim, gotta have a welding skill of 50 and shadow claws taken from the shadows at nibelheim, gotta have a welding skill of 45 for those.
 
You can get Iron Ore from those Desert Scorpions? Why didn't I find a single one when I was training against them for a little while when I was less than half my current level? :S

Is that accurate...? *goes to scan Desert Scorpion* :P

Edit: A bit of a late edit, but I have to say, was the possibility of Desert Scorpions dropping Iron Ore added at some point? I had several battles against them in the past, but despite Desert Scorpion (1) having a supposed 45% chance of dropping some, I never got any...

And, why is it a 25% chance instead of a 45% chance of Iron Ore being dropped by Desert Scorpion 2? I believe that is the stronger one, so if anything it should be higher than that 45%, not lower. But that's just me. :/

Lol, well i think ima sell my mats if anyone wants to buy em: Pin Needle (16), Iron Ore (14), Desert Ore (40), Coal (5), Sun bar (1), Bomb Core (21), Black Metal (1), and Shadow Claw (4)
 
How much would it cost me to get your Iron Ores, Black Metal, Shadow Claws, and Bomb Cores? I have lots of Gil, so name whatever you think is reasonable, I can't begin to put a price on what all that would cost, save me the trouble, even if the price is pretty high, I realize I'd be getting 40 components out of this, so I'm prepared to have to dish out some significant Gil. :P
 
Darn...I hate pricing stuff, I feel like I'm going to give a price too low, because I want to pay only as much as I am required to, but a fair amount at the same time...

I don't know...13000 Gil...? I'm not good at this. >_>
 
Thanks a ton for the components, they'll really help me out. ^_^

I can get Welding up some with Iron Ores and Black Metal, and can combine Shadow Claws and Bomb Cores to make myself some real nice components. :awesome:
