So I'm playing X and am in the Cloister of Trials in Bevelle when I see something that looks like a hole on the wall. Curious, I pass by the place again and pause, it's definitely a passageway. I continued on and saw heaps more of these passageways, in different places and on different levels so it's not the same one I'm seeing.

What are they? We never get to explore them or anything. I'm thinking maybe when the game was in development they had a much larger Bevelle where you could explore much more. That would explain the mystery save sphere further back as well (just after the wedding).

Has anybody else noticed these before?

Just saw another view of it! This time you can clearly see two of them.

Wow, that actually gives me the creeps...it's got like a Silent Hill vibe to it. Y'know, random doors placed everywhere.

I'm officially scared.

Yeah when I first saw it I was like, woah what the hell was that?! I thought I'd imagined it. After looking for these things for the past hour it is a little freaky. I'd love to know what they are though. I think I'm gonna go check if they're in X-2.

Just checked quickly on youtube. Yes, they are still there in X-2 but I'm pretty sure we still never get to find out what they are.

Well you know, that definitely leads to the whole underground passageways that FF10-2 had. Maybe it was intentional.

But how do we know that's where it leads? The Bevelle underground was much further down was it not? Because they jumped down into the chamber of the faith to get there and that seemed to be a seperate room altogether. I wish there was a way to get into that room from one of the passageways and see the cloister from a different angle and know where they actually go. It makes me so curious. But maybe it was meant to make people curious, part of the whole "Bevelle is full of secrets" thing.

It's weird that I never saw them before, once I noticed I saw them everywhere, how I could have missed them the first five times I played this game is a mystery.

I think in development Bevelle was going to be bigger. Because during the wedding, there's a save point you can't go to. It's when your facing the Bevelle soldiers and heading up the stairs where Yuna is.

In the beta version of FFX it looked like the game was going to be much bigger, the Shiva Temple looked bigger and Tidus had more detail and better graphics, but thanks to Spirits Within they had to cut down on some things, just a theory here.

Info on the FFX Beta ^

I also smell a new Creepypasta story coming....
:britt:

EDIT-

Oh just re- read the original post and saw this

That would explain the mystery save sphere further back as well (just after the wedding).

Whoops, sorry I'm blind ! :olivia:

^ This ! :olivia: Though there is also some hidden things in other video games too that people are just beginning to notice also, like creepy trees with demon like faces in Mario Galaxy, a Statue of Liberty with a strange face in Grand Theft Auto, missing ghost cars in Grand Theft Auto, and a spooky voice through a wall in Portal 2.

^ Some information on it here, though just a warning some material is High Octane Nightmare fuel. If you're easily frighted by things, I recommend giving it a miss.
:hmmm:

every room has to have its secrets and just cause the hole are there doesnt mean the game wasnt finished... they completed it but because Bevelle was a city of mystery with all the Machina they probably want to add those in so you will ask these questions... lots of producers like doing that just so people will wonder

Well no one dies... so it can't be that... (FFVII reference :ohoho: )
But I think Bevelle itself was suppose to be bigger like Valentines said. Or another theory is that it could be many halls all the way down the cloister, for one reason or another, It could be windows? :ohoho:
