I like blood seeker and PA =D used to play on Garena but now i just hold LAN parties
 
Its a custom map on Warcraft DOTA = Defence of the ancients , its relally addicting u shud prolly check it out n get friends to try it with u
 
I might research it later. But at the moment im a bit tied up with the RPG...... it's gotten really hard.
 
oh, ok well when u do start dota let me know maybe i can give u some good tips and intro u to some friends of mine who will make u into a beast in no time :P oh ventrillo is a must communication is the key in that game
 
Gah I can't stand this game to be honest. I used to play it a few years ago, but I eventually got bored of it. Most of my friends are obsessed with it though, so I still play the occasional game (I'm pretty shit though). My favourite heroes are Vengeful Spirit, Ursa Warrior, Pandaren Brewmaster, Venomancer, Troll Warlord and Bristleback. =/
 
heh its not that bad i have freinds joining all the time its only anooyign to train them over and over .... but yah id say this is the one game i can quit and return to and still have fun
 
Yeah it looks quite interesting from what i've seen. Ill look into downloading it later... if its anything like the regular warcraft's then im sure ill be drawn in right quick.

Anyway... My Husband plays DoTA. I think his IGN is -Phazed?

I've tried playing it. The game gives me a terrible headache. It's not that I find it too challenging because typically I enjoy strategy games, the movement on it just makes my head hurt by how quickly you glide throughout the map. Well, that and the fact that I'm absolutely horrible. x;
 
Aww, it's ok. Girls generally suck, unless they're azin. POW! Nah soz, just kidding. I used to play it hardcore, we would lan up every friday @ the local cyber cafe and go fuken berzerk! DotA is serious business! Really, it is...you wouldn't believe how serious we take our games.

I've done almost every strategy and played every hero at least 5x +. Hard to say who my favourite was though. I really love Bane Elemental though, so much hero control. Unfortunately, no farming abilities whatsoever so if they have a clever team that stick together and play defensively, it can really fuck your game up.

I haven't played dota for months now, for 1 reason only...HoN!! Heroes Of Newerth is a new game developed by S2 games that is a stand alone dota engine. Same items, same heroes and same map. But with incredibly enhanced graphics and alot of nifty features.

If you haven't played HoN and you're a DotA freak like me, then you really need to try it. I believe they're still giving out an assload more beta keys before they go to open.
 
What a coincidence, I just reinstalled WC3 tonight and saw this thread.

I used to be ranked on US East on the regular Ladder... =X

But when it comes to Dota I'm not that good yet, but it is terribly addicting.
As for the game itself... I hate playing tanks or stealth heroes. Whenever I get killed by Rikki or BountyHunter I feel like rage-quitting... I usually do better with ranged, like Windrunner or Drow. Support casters are fun to play, too. ^^

Maybe we could set up a game with forum members one day, if we get enough people. =]
 
I played Warcraft III + Frozen throne, but I never tried the map dota thingy. I saw my friends play it, it seems intense with all the running around (running away too) and many character selection. I don't think I would do very good in pvp (or pve whatever it's called). Sure is a lot of clicking though.:ed:
 
Never in my life have I known what "DOTA" stood for. I just played the campaign missions and multiplayer games. I got to say, it's fun, even if I lose to the computer on "Easy" an awful lot. :)
