Well, I most likely wont be online for the next 3 or 4 days. A very strange virus was being passed around MSN last night nad unfortunately, it's buggered my laptop. I'm currently using my mum's computer to do this, but I can't keep using it - I told her that she should "get her own" and not use mine. Well, she's turned that on me :P She was kind enough to allow me to talk to you all, though ;)

My computer's in the repair shop and will be a minimum of 3/4 days. Subsequently, I wont be on MSN, or the forums, for these days. I'll attempt my best to muster a few minutes each day here but I can't promise anything.

As for this virus, I'll take this time to inform others. The virus infects your contact list and sends to every single person on your list, online at that time. What it does is take control of your account and sends this to everyone, with the message, in a normal conversation: "Is this u? :O " Stupidly, I clicked the link (wh... all in a few days, hopefully.[/COLOR][/FONT]
 
Who falls for MSn viruses??
lol if you use norton this could explain it, but other than that, i hope it gets repaired quickly.
 
:O thanks for letting us know about this Riku. That is really shitty what happened to your computer =/ It's not gonna be the same without you online!! :( I hope it gets fixed soon and you'll be back with us soon. I'm going to warn all of my other friends on my list about this virus. Thanks for informing :)

oh and Tidus Blade loose the attitude. Sometimes these things happen no matter who you are.

McAfee, actually. Excellent protection. And I didn't "fall" for anything, I told you it came across as a message from my friends. I don't appreciate being patronised like that.

Then I strongly recommend running extensive virus checkers, especially for Trojans.

I've managed to nag the parents to get on their laptop for a while. I'll try and keep this up as often as I can.
 
i have a quick replacement i.e my dads old computer. I needed it for science project and still use it.

Ahhh MCafee, much better than norton, anyways, never click a link before knowing whats there, especially if the extension leads to a file and not a page.
 
How, in Sephiroth's name, was I supposed to know it was a virus? I've already said that it came across as a message from my friends - why wouldn't I trust them? It takes control of your computer and sends to all contacts automatically, against your will. There was no way of stopping it.

As a side note, I am not extremely stressed because, as I signed on to MSN today, I witnessed each and every-one of my contacts being deleted from my lis - just popping away! I AM GOING TO BREAK SOMETHING!
 
Ah man thats fucked up good thing ive never even been sent one, well good luck with your comp hope it gets fixed, also thanks for taking the time to tell us people who didnt know about it (me).
 
Ah dude, that's really sad that happened =[. I remember it happened to me once and I couldn't even get onto my desktop, or when I did it had no taskbar or icons. I hope everything gets fixed soon, I'll miss you 'til then. Good luck with everything though, I mean that.
