Virginia Tech Shootings Leave 22 Dead

They said after he shot his girlfriend, that something just snapped inside of him. They had something on the news that when this happends, people just lose it and can't help but shoot as many people as they can

George W. Bush is going to have a feild day with this incident. I mean i wonder if he truly cares what happened to that college. It's truly sad how something like this has people turning to the news.

I really hate what the news is doing with all this, and like yesturday when I was watching the questions they were asking were like questions that could start stirring trouble. Even some of the questions they were asking some of the victim's friends, if anyone ever asked me 'how do I feel' I'd wanna hit them with a bat

I wouldn't even allow the interview to go on. Because the newscasters really don't care they just want that juicy story and when there are alot of deaths involved then there they go....

The media don´t really care about the victims friends and family they just want to find enough "juice" so they can get good audiences!

The real question now is will this event change the current gun ownership laws in America!?

Unfortunately i doubt it and that loser Bush might pray all he want it´s because of the laws that he signed that this things happen every year in America!

Now you know thats true. Be reasonable with your arguments and use facts.

Anyways, yea, its a shame that media goes this way. But, media only provides what society is interested in. How many people are talking about this incident? How many people are talking about the killer?

Questions like: Who? Why? How? How much should we be concerned with America's security? Are gun laws to blame? Are video games to blame?

These questions generate buzz and attract viewers. Everyone is looking for a scapegoat in this and the real answer is more obvious than most know. It's us as a whole and not a single person who we should blame.

On another note, now that the muderer's playscripts are out, it makes me sick that someone will probably produce these and people will probably see it cause we're like moths to the flame to these kinds of things.

i saw the whole thing last night actually it is an asian guy, it showed his picture, and correction he killed 33 people and also himself....i do feel very bad for the people that has been murdered who had nothing to do with the situation of his.

My manager pointed this out to me at work yesturday. She picked up a newspaper and shouted over to me "This is why Americans shouldnt have guns!!" I was like woah! Anyone can pick up a gun and turn it on another human being, not just Americans.

Also there was a picture of his face on the paper with small images of the victims and a headline that simply said: !Look what you made me do!" I was disgusted at the paper because for some reason that headline almost moved me to tears. To blame this on the girlfriend is ridiculous, the man was clearly emotionally unstable!

My heart goes out to those poor victims and their families.

Preparing for the shooting? Possibly. why else would he have a gun when he was with his girlfriend? Mental problems are a definite. He was always mentally unstable. Each time he was told to go to counselling or get some help, he gets more and more pissed off. One day, he just snapped. Sadly, he went and kill 32 innocent people then himself.

Well he had been assigned to have councelor support and everything...but he was of course a completed demented guy should have justed shooted himself and end everything withought hurting and killing anyone else!

It´s sad to see young people who were trying to fulfill their dreams...talents...ambitions getting killed for doing nothing wrong...

It´s just very sad indeed.

I thought the things he was saying in his recorded monlogue were very interesting. He seemed to have a motive in a way. Obviously he was a paranoid schizophrenic and these were not the actions of a sane person, but the things he was saying showed that this tradgedy was partly a result of american youth culture. He seemed to be blaming the shallow, middle class "MTV" culture for his rampage, and kept saying things like "You made me do this".

Goes to show how much police pay attention to things like that. They "thought" he had left the campus and probably the state, instead of actually searching for him. had they done that, many people may have not had to die.

Well, from what I heard, that guy was mentally ill. He had an "imaginary supermodel girlfriend" and perhaps he was looking for her, hence, the reason why he started his shooting rampage. He was also looking for the "ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend." People are saying that he stalked that one girl, Emily (one of the two first victims) and I guess she didn't want anything to do with him, so it angered him. I don't know the deal with that other guy he shot though...or the others in the classroom.

Only one thing's for sure. He's been mentally ill for quite awhile now. I guess last year he's been depicting images that would involved people killing each other. Now, I'm not saying that factor alone means a person is bad right off the bat. I mean, the guy was an English major or something, and we have authors that portray their works that way sometimes. But I guess the manner in which Cho did it was gory and disturbing. I think that was why they were referring him for counseling. He never talked in class - pretty much a loner, I would think. I mean, even as he was shooting people, he never said a word.

This really scared the hell out of me. Like Ambular said, there is now a slight fear whenever I go out in public. You never really know what's gonna happen. Things may seem normal, but we'll never know what that person beside us is thinking, and it makes us wonder...then drives us crazy for thinking too much. Well, atleast that's the case for me. I suppose I'm just out of it. I mean, I know it's been more than a week now, but the shock is still there.
