Vaan too whimpy?

Is vaan really to whimpy?

vaan did hit vayne hard at the end but apart from that hes weak
balthier is much more mature and funnier
 
damn, everyone here just love the "typical mature guy" being like squall or controversial like Tidus.

I guess anyone realized that Vaan was the kind of person that Ramza was in ff tactics, the same line... the same kind of main character, that doesn`t have to talk a lot of crap to be cool, or being meany with others to look cool too.

I'm just tired of people that loves the auron - squall - sephirot - kind of person =.=; , and if you see, they end like a pathetic character; Squall ends crying like a baby in the end of the game, and aurons finds his pathetic truth at the end too. In Vaan is not the case.

Vaan is the best, like Ramza too; he doesn`t need to outsand himself.

I see no need to be hating on Vaan. He's never done anything annoying in my eyes. o_O

Go ahead, point out some of his annoyances for me.
 
I agree, Vaan is a 'lil' whimpy, and Cloud/Sephiroth/Squall is much better

...You know it's ridiculous to compare an orphan boy with an ex SOLDIER who was infused with mako, and a man infused with JENOVA, as well comparing him to a rather muscular BlitzBall player?

Vaan isn't a wimp. Wimps are wusses basically, afraid of everything - he wasn't. He was a daring chap, I think, and had a lot of issues to deal with, but he didn't hide them away like Cloud or Squall.

What the hell do you expect from a 17 year old boy? A muscle man? Someone awesomely mighty?

people always want the main character to be perfect but it turned out that vaan was not. he was not much mature and could never be considered as a brave leader. he was just an orphanded kid and that was not what the fans wanted
 
You can't speak for everybody, and I'm sure there is someone out there who speaks the same words as I do.
 
A Wimp? I don't understand he didn't do anything wimpy in the game. He does look like a girl though, but that's to be expected with SE's obsession with metro sexual designs.

in all the older ff titles the main charcter was brave person and all that shit and because of that people were used to having main characters like that and this sudden change has has changed the whole patern of main characters. so because of this change people call vaan a whimp but i think vaan did well for his age.

Not a lot of the main characters from FF games were mature. You can't expect a 17 year old to be that mature can you now?
