Vaan too whimpy?

vaan was not even mature enough to be called a 17 year old look at larsa only 12 and yet more mature than vaan. you have to admit that vaan was a sissy and a whimp aswell. no charater from any other ff game was so inmature.
 
How is he a sissy and a wimp? He's the one who wanted to go on the adventure? He was tired of the boring life in Rabanastre and was ready to take on all the risks, adventures, and journey's ahead. Whimp? Pleasssssse. If he was a "whimp" he would have stayed home feeding his pet mice the whole game. How was he whimpy?
 
To me he just looks and sound gay. Sorry... Not sure if any of you guys and gals watch or have seen Drawn Together. But there is this character called Xandir and he is a micky take out of Link and he is very gay... But for some reason when I first saw a pic of Vaan, it screamed Xandir at me :lol: I haven't played the game yet but seen the previews... But when I get the moola I buy the game just to laugh at Vaan. :)

anyone wouldn`t agree with you because your posts shows clearly that you are like forcing everyone to agree with you.

as for the inmature thing: he's not, and the only scene that can possibly show that he's unmature is when she asks fran her age, and that's just something funny.. and not to think about that he can be such an idiot or unmature for asking that.
 
Hes 12! how can a 12 year old not be considered as a whimp? i mean hes like skin and bones! X0>~< - thats him.... hes twelve... right?

Woah woah woah....alright I have to clarify something.
Vaan was not the leader of the crew. The story was merely told from his point of view throughout the majority of the game. Vaan was a normal 17 year old kid, out on an adventure, following his dreams of becoming a sky pirate.
He never whined, or complained that he didn't like what he was doing...

Now as far as main characters go...I'd have to say that Ashe and Balthier did a good job playing the leading rolls in telling everyone where to go and what to do.

Square did a much better job with voiceovers this time around if you ask me...

His voice has nothing to do with how whimpy or courageous he is...

The voice fits the character.
Thus a wimpy voice = a wimpy character
Thats my opinion.

You're right, Tidus was horribly whimpy.
But I'm just saying, some of the voiceovers may not be almighty, but they did a MUCH better job this time around...

Cloud was a wimp to, and so was tidus and squall(it just took a while to find out is all) theres not really anything wrong with it as long as they don't try to play a wimp of as a hard ass.

Cloud truned out to be a loser weenie who really amounted to nothing and squall was an emotional distruaght teenager, they were more wimpy, they just didnt show it and only for a short period of time, but I still liked them better.
 
My opinion is that Vaan looks like a freaking girl, but can't say if he's a wimp or not, haven't played the game yet. Still, the game looks freaking awesome to me, and that's what I think is important ;)
 
I liked Vaan, he's different. :\

He's just a kid, if you think about it. Dragged into something, chasing after his dreams... no harm done.

Have to agree there, I haven't played it much and it's MUCH better.

I don't find Vaan wimpy.
