[V7] What are you currently listening to?

You can be the ghost in my hall,
You can be the smile I don't want.

I'll be the fly on your wall.

I'm not ready to be just another of your mistakes,
Don't wanna let the pieces fall out of place.

I was only just a breath removed from going to waste,
Till I found salvation in the form of your,

Your grace, your grace, your grace.

Don't take it away.

One of my favourite musicians died today. The Greek composer Vangelis is behind the soundtracks for films such as Blade Runner, 1492: Conquest of Paradise, Chariots of Fire, and Alexander. He was also once part of the Greek prog-rock band Aphrodite's Child and also frequently partnered with Jon Anderson from Yes.

I've listened to some of Vangelis' tracks tonight, and while I'd love the excuse to talk about my favourite music from Blade Runner, instead I'll post the main theme from Conquest of Paradise.

Imagine making a film and then asking a musician to compose a score for it, and then they come back with that. It doesn't matter at that point if the film bombs, is historically inaccurate, or flawed in any sense. With music like that in it, you know that people will remember it for generations.

My dad used to play the soundtrack for this film on cassette tape in the car during long journeys when I was a child. And now I listen to it today.

Too heartless to lose yourself
Tearing at the seams to feel it
Fake it to the point you oversell
Save it 'til the night is creeping
No time left to pretend
I didn't wanna see till the end
Leave this motion underground
When I wake, I'm coming home

The lyrics in this song are such a dang mood :lew:

You didn't love when you had me,
But now you need me so badly,
You can't be serious...
That's hilarious.

Thinking I would still want you,

After the things you put me through,
Yeah, you're delirious.
That's hilarious.

Take your shoes off in the back of my van.

It's the rats in the basement
Trying our patience
We are just tuning you out
We are young and unafraid, ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
We are young and unafraid, ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh

You're the light, you're the night
You're the colour of my blood
You're the cure, you're the pain
You're the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much, so
