And you really can't put a mage up against a fighter since the fighting styles would be so different.

I don't see why people don't do Tifa VS Yuffie? Wouldn't that make more sense? Or Tifa VS Cid. Or Aerith VS Vincent. Now those would make more sense.

Exactly. I hate them too. Every time I see one of those threads, I'll do my darndest to close them. Spam like crazy! No, no, actually, all I do is argue that we've killed the topic many times over and over and over again. Trying to convince the mods to see that the thread lives a short life indeed.

Ugh, I am sooo glad I'm not the only one who is totally fed up with these Aerith vs Tifa threads. They are so freakin' old!! I can't stand looking at them anymore. I still haven't read through all of the posts in the one on the FFVII forum...in a way I wish Riku hadn't made it or wish it hadn't gotten stickied. I don't feel it really DID need to be sticky. It just pisses me off everytime I go into that forum, but yeah...Aerith and Tifa would NOT fight each other and the only way they would is if they ended up with the status ailment "confuse"

Victory!! I managed, through much loud complaining, to close the Tifa vs. Aerith thread on the other forums! In celebration, everyone shall eat some chocolate!

Yay! Maybe that stupid topic won't come up again but what am I saying? Some newbie will come along and ask it again.
 
I'm thinking about talking with a few other mods and seeing if we can have the one that's stickied (which was REALLY not necessary) closed and archived. It just irritates me with the whole "omg Aerith would PWN Tifa with magic" or "Tifa would kick Aerith's ass because she's a fighter!" Point is, Aerith and Tifa would NEVER get into a fight like that because they care about each other too much.>_<
 
The whole concept of them fighting each other is utterly ridiculous. And get this; there once was a thread titled, and I quote, "What if Tifa and Aeris fought...." and the first words of the thread was "over Cloud?"

Can you belive it? I was rather shocked. And then I laughed my ass off. I'm sorry, good a plot-twist maker and alien hunter he may be, I just can't see Tifa and Aeris fighting.....over him. XD
 
LOL! Must have skimmed over that. Yeah. Who would want to fight over Cloud? Now Rufus, that another story because whoever wins gets to be filthy rich! So he tried to kill/capture them. I'm sure they can get past that little detail...
