And no, I don't mean the song.

How do you work under pressure? Do you spazz out and do a worse job than you thought was possible because of it, or do you work really well, and actually enjoy such a challenge under pressure? ;)

We've all seen it in sports, the last second jumper for the win, in academics, the last words in an essay.

I tend to work particularly well under pressure, well, at least better than I thought I would while working on a project or essay.
It's a rush and can be quite fun because of the sheer challenge of it, but sometimes I just crack under it, and do a worse job, especially if I attempt to do something without any proper organization or preparation.

I had to do a presentation one time and I stuttered all the way through my delivery because of the pressure --- something I'll never forget. ^_^
All the eyes are on you and you are in the limelight, and that...that is when I crack most often.

It's not like I enjoy working under pressure, but if it happens, I make the most of it. I'll try my best not to get nervous...because when I do, my heart starts racing really quickly and my body would feel hot and that makes me sick for some reason.

I haven't really been in many cases where I have to work under pressure. But when I did, I didn't do a bad job or anything. Nor did I do the best. I'm just in the middle, I suppose.

I'm really good under pressure, I think. In fact, it's pretty much my only motivation. That kind of leads me onto another rant, which I'll indulge myself in another time... but about being under pressure, I like it. I do very well. There are some pressures that I crack under though. If I'm emotionally stressed, I'm likely to go insane. If it's anything else, work, friends, financial stress or whatever... then I'll do well.

I dont work good under pressure. I can crack easily and mess the job up. But I try my best to remain calm and get the task at hand completed.

I'm a very laid back person and pressure never seems to effect me much. I can count the amount of times I've been stressed at work on 1 hand and I've been working for over 10 years now.

I don't have any experience with this, so I wouldn't know. However, I did exams once and that wasn't as bad as everyone said it was. Passed with a decent grade.^_^

I have mixed results when I'm under pressure. And being under pressure pretty much describes every day at work; I'm tasked with taking all of our bulk pallets we receive off each morning's truck shipment and bumping them up on all the top pallet locations in our backroom. Or as I like to describe it, cramming 10 pounds of shit into a 5-pound bag because there's never room and I pretty much have to pull the space out of my ass. It's an all-day-long process, and no matter what your job is back there you're given a set amount of time to do it all back there and not near enough resources or help to get it done. And if you don't finish, there's hell to pay. So there's alot of pressure.

Pressure like that makes me bust my ass, and I do alot of good work because I know that no matter what or how I do it, it's got to get done. It keeps me focused, and honestly the day goes by much quicker because I don't even have the time to stop and realize just how much time is going by. The rare days that there isn't much to do are the days that I start getting bored, and then I just get lazy and the day drags on and on. So I suppose in that regard, having to work under alot of pressure brings out my best results.

Where I falter under pressure is that I'm not a patient person. I have no qualms at all about biting someone's head off if they get in my way when I've got a lot to do. So even though I do good work, I piss a lot of people off in the process. Which is fine by me, it keeps them out of my hair. I find it effective, but if I'm going to pragmatically analyze this from a 3rd person perspective then I'll admit it as a fault.

If I don't have someone harping me to do something, or if I don't have a deadline hanging over my head, I'll never finish whatever it is that I set out to do. Not that I like being under pressure...but it's the only way to push me that extra mile.

I’m a quiet, laid back and an easy going person as well. So most of the time I’m able to keep my cool and work under pressure as long as I have all of the resources available to me that are needed to complete the task.

However, if I don’t and someone’s lack of planning ends up becoming an emergency on my part, then I’ll become easily agitated at the slightest of problems.
