I'm having problems saving an image into my signature. When I try, a messege saying "Unable to save image" appears. Is anyone else having this problem or am I the only one?

No. However, I'd recommend just directly applying the image to your signature by using the
tags.

This is indeed an issue needing to be resolved. It's best advised that you link to an image hosted on, say, Photobucket if you want a signature to be displayed.

I thought I'd be best to post this problem, here.

I've been trying to change my signature for most of the night based around "your signature is longer than ten lines." This is barely two lines:

It's a bit annoying because I can't even go back to what I've just had in my signature, which was significantly longer (with three quotes and a line space in between them all).

I had the same problem even though it fit well within the guidelines.
TinyPic works fine though if you directly upload it from there

I might be absolutely insane, but I believe that your signature still counts as lines being used. And, since I believe that signature there is a bit larger then your last, the reason you can now barely have two lines instead of your last three, is understandable.

I believe you. :p I don't know. Maybe it's really a bug, or has to do with the way it's entered or something...

yes. and Photobucket, Imageshack, nor Tiny Pic are cooperating with me. And I had Matrix make me a killer sig too.

Is any progress being made to solve this problem? No worries, I'm in no rush :neomon:

Pardon for the double-post. :neomon:

I've just tried to update my signature again. I've discovered that I can't get text underneath my image.

[1] When you usually go to the far right side of the image and press the enter key, the cursor jumps to the line below. Currently, all it's doing is bringing the image down one line and forcing me to enter text on the top line.

[2] When actually updating my signature, I can't edit the font on the first go. I had to specifically go through every stage, clicking "Preview Signature" between each stage. I add the text, previewed, italicised it, previewed, changed the style, previewed and then changed the size, finally saving the signature. This is as close as I am getting to the ten line limit and it's quite clearly only two.

The signature images should be being stored in the /signaturepics folder. Can someone who has problems see if that's where that's where they're trying to be saved?

I've never had a problem inserting an image - it's if I try to use both an image and text, it's not possible.

Can you post the code you're attempting to use here?

I checked the Veteran Member usergroup's signature permissions but everything seemed fine.

Sounds like this might be some sort of AJAX/browser issue. What browser do you use? Also you might want to try clearing cookies (or not, as this would affect other sites you visit), or trying this on a different computer.

I'm not trying to use any code, you see. I'm just trying to get some text in beside my signature. xD

I can enter text above an image but the limit is something like two lines, and that's without making anything in italics, or in a different font. Say, for example, the text I currently have is italicised Book Antiqua at size 2. If I had that underneath my image, it'd "exceed the maximum number of lines."

I clear my cookies frequently and I use Firefox, though this problem still occurs when I use Internet Explorer.

I'm not sure why, but MY profile always seems to go belly-up whenever there's a change on the forums. When Darkblade added the username change feature, EVERYONE on the site but me could use it, for example. At one point (and Saix can vouch for this), the site had wiped my email address from my account.

Freaky shit. D=

EDIT:
I've tried using Internet Explorer again and I seem to be able to, slowly but surely, manipulate my signature so that I can have text underneath my image.

What it does on IE is, despite me having only three lines, when I "preview signature," it adds in several blank lines, which were definitely not there before. I suppose that I can 'solve' my own problem, here ... it's just a bit of an inconvenience. xD

But code, I just meant the sig contents.

Unfortunately I don't really have any more ideas on this then :argh:

Maybe Belazor just had it out for you, it is likely he was the source of almost all the site's problems. But with his removal and the plugin reinstallation etc. that shouldn't matter anymore, if it was the case.

That's always a possibility but the old username changing was active before Belazor had even registered.

Regardless, I suppose I can just use IE for this. For the record, the sig content was intended to be exactly what it is now.

Thanks anyway.
