uhhhh complete the sphere gird

i think, to be super hard and wotnot, you have to delete say a strengh slot and replace it with a new strength sphere because all the ones you find or get from monsters are always plus 4 whereas the ones on the grid are always 2 or 3, i was spending way too much time in the monster arena collecting those spheres......
 
Yep, that's what I did. To tell you the truth, in the end I think it wasn't necessary, since there were no Dark Aeons and Penance, just Nemesis, for whom I don't think I needed all that strength. When I got to the final battle, it took the Bosses more time dying, then it took them to get killed :D, waiting for
8-9 aeons to die when I kill the with one hit, pitiful :d
 
yeash i know what you are saying but i had upgraded so much just to beat nemesis (i feel stupid sisnce you can beat him with out even upgrading) i thought i might as well complete it
 
I managed to do nemesis without doing all that pilf beforehand, i only started deleting spheres when it came to the dark aeons - I haven't actually played that file for AGES it's just soooo time consuming and i finally decided it was time to beat XII so once that is done i'm gunna tackle that grid and DEMOLISH dark bahamut so he can stop tormenting me by not dying.......but no doubt he will crush me AGAIN.....
 
yeah but you get like 1 extra point on your stats for each one you delete and replace with a new one, i havent maxed all my stats yet and iv already gone round the grid once
 
ohh i thought you said something different i thought you said that you wanted to beat the creation without upgrading by deleting all of the sta spheres but yeah to max out stats you do have to do some deleting but luck is irrevelant so by deleting thoes gives room for hp str def what ever you want
 
lol, i don't think i ever make much sense! But i think i might try deleting some of them luck spheres as long as your SURE they won't affect anything.....they wont reduce my chances of getting rare items will they, cause i really need dark matters
 
no dont worry about it i deleted all of them and had no problem of getting dark matters besides what exactly do you need them for if its break dmg limit get the secret wepons they are the best as they can ignore defense and if it is a ribbon (i dont have that version ) then yeah its worth it


also the monster arena guy gave me 99x for catching every monster...
 
just for armour i think it was for making more ribbony equipment, i cant quite remember now hah
 
I have not yet completed the Sphere Grid but am close to it. I beat FFX back in 2002 and haven't started a new game since on it. I think I logged close to 200 hours into it and tried to soup up my characters as much as possible as I made my way through completing the Monster Arena bosses. Still though, haven't completed the Sphere Grid 100% yet. Someday.
 
yeah ribbon armor is important as i have seen for dark bahamut but you know you could just have yuna summon a aeon to take his impules and mega flare attack and have wakka use attack reals should beat him pretty eaisly
 
i only wish i was finding him pretty easy.......but i think i will have to give it another go!!! i think my problem at the moment is hes too quick for me at the off
 
well then if hes too quick and raise your agility and it is a HUGE help if you have auto haste

to get it you

bribe the enemy theat you see in the omega ruins (it helps if you capture himthen bribe him in the arena)(forgot his name) he looks like that boss that tidus fights when he starts the fire in the begining of the game

bribe him for
360000 and he will drop anywhere from 40 to 70 chocobo wings its a HUGE help
 
il give it a try when i eventaully beat ff12!

If you delete any of the Luck Spheres that were activated on your grid, your chances of even hitting the tougher Dark Aeons such as Magus Sisters and Bahamut will be reduced to 0 or close even with an Accuracy stat of 255. So DO NOT delete them at all costs.

Having a high Luck stat is absolutely crucial against the final few Dark Aeons, you just can't afford to make any misses when you try to hit them. Besides the higher stats, the multiple breaks and the nasty status inducing attacks, their high evasion is essentially what separates them from the arena creations. From this point onwards, you should begin your mass extermination of those Greater Spheres and Earth Eaters. Ensuring that at least 3 of your characters have a Luck stat of 130 or more. Preferably 4 though, with Yuna's stats maxed out too.

Dark Matters are a rare drop from arena creations, but as long as you can one-shot the Sleep Sprout, you can get them quite quickly through this guy. However, the fastest method of farming this item would obviously be via fighting Dark Yojimbo, since you can exploit the fact that his forms are "infinite" as long as you reset the fight before you encounter him in the fifth round. It's also a great way to get Ribbon armours off him.

i've already killed dark yojimbo >.< - i figured he would be easier than dark bahamut. I think I'm just gunna need alot of patience........
 
hmm didnt think that they would be that hard just have you charaters entrust their ocerdrives to wakka and use atk reals im sure theyll die
 
Well, Stoneproof is enough to get you past Dark Bahamut alongside other decent abilities. Ribbon isn't absolutely imperative, you probably only ever need one to get by those that can inflict Sleep or Doom etc in their attacks.
