I was thinking bout this at work today, how bored am I lol?

Well I was wondering why a Twilight game had not been released yet. Unless theyre already working on it, but Ive not heard anything as of yet about 1.

I know many people will be angry at such a thing, but many books and movies have spin off games. I myself wouldnt be angry, but at the same time I wouldnt mind seeing what it would be like.

Thoughts?

You and I think alike.

I was wondering about this months ago, but I haven't heard any news of it. It'd be a massive hit with the fans, although I wouldn't know how the gameplay would even work. The stories could be based off the series itself or what happens in between. But like I say, I think the gameplay is crucial.

Because there's no substance - you can't have a game where you appreciate the beauty of Pattinson and get points for it. There's, what, 1 major fight and a smaller one in the whole film? I literally can't see any possible objective to a game other than "make the biggest squee you can for no justified reason".

New Moon's slightly better with the action but still not enough to have any kind of game that isn't just an interactive storybook.

Lol, that didnt take long for replies :P

Yeah I was thinking of what would be best. I mean you can see a game of Edward and Bella jumping through the trees, maybe mini battles with Edward and Jacob? I mean LOTRs was a good game franchise as it had many battles. Maybe a dating sim??? :D

What? It'd be The Sims: Twilight Edition.

Heck, I'd buy it. I love The Sims and would definitely buy that version.

Good idea! Sims meets Twilight. It would be you as a sim and MILLIONS of Edwards and Jacobs lol :D But Id make my own Jasper :-) If a good game company had a good old think, Im sure it could be done. Maybe after Breaking Dawn.

Because it would be ridiculous, and boring. It would be like... the sims maybe. Or a very short game. There isn't much plot to work on at all, and all the exciting parts happen at the end. Only rabid fan-girls would buy it, and even they would proabably chuck it out the window. At least Edward would learn how to fly...

It would be a waste of money, I think.

I dont see how it would be ridiculous. I work in a game shop and seen some TERRIBLE games, dart games and the mental baby games?! even now I think Nintendogs is a mad idea, but it sold well.

You could have a stalking mini-game! LET'S SEE WHO CAN CLIMB THROUGH BELLA'S WINDOW AND WATCH HER SLEEP THE FASTEST :rage:

And a "Resist the blood!" challenge! Can Edward resist Mike's bleeding finger?! Will he blow everything!? And then again at the end, CAN EDWARD STOP BEFORE HE KILLS BELLA?!

.. Yeah. I don't think it would be a good idea. Sadly enough, I would buy it. And invite all of my friends over to laugh at it  I think it would be.. a bad game. I can't see one for the whole damn SERIES having enough substance, let alone just one book. Eclipse... maybe but probably not. Breaking Dawn? Oh god that read like bad fanfiction, I don't want a GAME to be like bad fanfiction TOO!

So just.. no. Please no. DO NOT WANT. :rage:

I wondered about this too, but then I thought of the very points Kerrigan addressed in his first post. It just doesn't have the kind of substance to make for a very appealing game.

In order to make this a successful "adventure/action" type of game, they'd have to do one of two things, or maybe even both...

Combine at least the first two or three movies into one game so that there would be more "thrill" granted to the player, and/or throw in a bunch of non-canon events for the player to partake in. The first thing is pretty self-explanatory, and an example of the second would be something like a "Trials of the Tribe" saga in which you take on the role of Jacob and undergo the Wolf process. You could have training sessions with the other wolf pack members, and they could even cover the whole "vampire hunt" thing and set up hunter missions (Crisis Core style). It's possible, but it might offend fans and wouldn't appeal to non-fans of the saga, so the target audience is in question.

As for the whole SIMS/RP idea... Clearly some people would be into that, but what would it really offer? I feel like it'd just be a regular dating SIMS type of thing with Twilight models uploaded and a few lines changed to suit them. Would it really be enough to make a complete game?
