IGN have done a report on what they think the hardest games are which are as following.

  • 10. Ninja Gaiden Black
  • 9. Devil May Cry 3
  • 8. Battletoads
  • 7. R-Type
  • 6. MDK2
  • 5. Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts
  • 4. F-Zero GX
  • 3. Shinobi
  • 2. Mega Man
  • 1. Contra
Now I personally don't agree with this list but what do you people think? What would you consider to be some of the hardest games of all time and why?
 
Hmm... don't know if I agree with that list.

I think Kid Icarus is a very hard game. I still can't get far in the first level.
 
I never thought Mega Man was that hard. Which one are they talking about?

I was able to beat when it was on the NES with little help.
 
Contra was never really that hard. It annoyed at times, but it was still pretty easy
I struggled a lot with Tomb Raider 2 at times. It was annoying when you'd used all your medipacks and you came across one of those big traps with axes, or a room full of guys with shotguns. It really made you plan every move that game

I think they said the original, i agree is the hardest from the series but not in the top 10 hardest games
 
That list is kinda weird cause most of those games are easy and not hard DMC3 was hard for me when I played it on "heaven or hell" mode and contra for the PS2 is the hardest of all of them i could never beat that game unless i have 99 lives.:P
