This generation of gaming has put contollers on the forefront of gaming, the Wii's, 360's and PS3's controllers each have their own strengths and have their fair share of fans.

But what would you consider your favourite controller of all time? Are todays controllers too gimmicky and prefer the days of old with the SNES or N64 controllers or do you prefer the new tech within todays?

I like the Playstation 1 & 2 controlers. I just feel comfortable wiht them.

XBox, I couldnt stand, too big and bulky.

The XBOX controllers make me feel like I'm compensating for something, I prefer PS controllers, simple and buttons are in stupid places(i.e Gamecube), and SNES controllers for the exact same reasons, and Mega Drive of course.

Still never been fully happy with the PS controllers, I hate to this day those goddam control sticks and try not to use them unless necessary which is why I've never bought a FPS for the system and went for the Gamecube or PC version if possible.

Still love the N64 controller, using the 3D stick for the first time on Mario 64 was a joy. Since it's the only one I've used for a decent period of time I would pick the 360 controller out of the current-gen models.

Gamecube. It has just the right amount of buttons for a game and it's comfortable to hold, at least, for me.

Second would be PS2. I've always loved PS2, and I'm quite comfortable with the controller. I guess that might be 'cause most of my games are for PS2. :D

The Gamecubes was good and I loved those buttons although there was a few problems with it for me, the Z-Trigger was a bit poorly designed and seemed to be stuck there for the hell of it and the D-Pad was terrible when trying to play fighters on it. Capcom Vs. SNK 2 was damn painful when trying to pull off the specials.

My fav controller is the ps2 one cause it feels perfect in my hand it also i like it cause its the best controller to play fighting games.Even though i used to like the SNES controller back in the day of old consoles.

XBOX just sucks at making controllers they should just stay with computer instead of making systems.

Agreed when looking at the first Xbox controller, however all of the models afterwards have been great and I would regard the 360 controller superior to the Dualshock.

Well I like the dualshock controllers better than the 360 controller cause u can see and feel a big diffrence in it.The 360 is huge and doesn't work that good for most games and well i just steped up and got a ps3 and the sixaxis controller which is the best since it wireless unlike the wii which is not.

I've always really loved the PS1 and PS2 controllers. They're not as big as X-box (which is very uncomfortable for me). I was really glad to know that they kept the PS2 controller the same style as for the PS1.

Second would be Gamecube. At first I thought I was gonna have a hard time with it, but surprisingly, I didn't. There are many controllers, yes, and sometimes it can be quite confusing, but I still manage.

call me a traditionalist, but I like the old NES controllers. They were so simple. lol!

Snes were good too.

Of the newer ones, I'd have to say the PS2 controllers. The X box one are big and bulky and it took me awhile to get used to them.

I've always been comfortable with the PS1 and PS2 controllers, with or without analogue, so they win quite easily out of the last couple of generations for me.

However, my personal fav is still the 6-button Megadrive controller, bliss for Street Fighter!

I've always like the PS2 controllers and man have I gone through ALOT of them.
But my favorite one is made by GameStop of all people for the PS2 and its wireless... not just wireless but I've tried ...this thing will NOT loose signal within like 30 feet. You can block it by putting it behind your head, play through the couch pointing the other way, like I said I tried to block the signal and it refuses to loose signal. Its also a little bit smaller than the official PS2 controllers and feels good in your hands. It take 2 AAA batteries that last a century (well not that long) and to top it off new its only 20.00 USD.

The Xbox 360 controller by far. Now I have bigger hands than the average 16 year old male, so maybe I like it more because it simply fits better in the palms of my hands then it does for other people.

The Xbox 360 controller is probably the best. The button layout is perfect and that chunk of plasic fits comfortably in my hands.

I still love the classic Playstation controller design.

i hate the new ps3 controller >>_<< but i love ps1 and 2 but i hate xbox controllers as well there so big and i got lilttle hands :'(

Ah, you mean the boomerang-shaped controllers?

Yeah, it looks a little...overdone. Mind you, I've never actually touched the controller yet, so I really have no clue whether it's comfortable or not. It looks rather cool though.

PS1/PS2 Dual Shock controllers for me. It has probably my personal favorite comfort level for a controller withy it. You don't have to reach out of the way to hit a button, and can hit multiple ones at the same time.

My least favorite was probably the origianl Xbox ones. Not only because of how big they were, but because the White and Black little buttons were a btich to get to and use. The newer 360 RB and LB buttons are great alongside the RT and LT ones.

It looks a little awkward to use...
How would you be able to put your fingers on the analog sticks, buttons and triggers at the same time...its sort of HUGE :wacky:
I'm going to say the normal PS3 controllers because they are basically the same as the PS1/PS2 controllers but are wireless and way, way lighter.
