I have found a brittle tree in the starfall field area of the giza plains. iwas told to hit it. It fell in the river and I got a message saying the tree is now drifting east. what is this about?

there are a few tree stumps to hit, four or 5 i think, it opens up another area of the map that you can access by walking over said tree stumps

Anyway, there's a secret area in Giza Plains and in order to have access to that, you need to chop down 6 withered trees. Keep in mind that you can only access the secret area during the wet season.

Once you have chopped down the six trees, you can then access the Tracks of the Beast. Just cross the bridge (Bridge of Withered Trees - those chopped trees gathered up to make a bridge) that connects Track of the Beast and Giza South Bank.

That's right, if you hit all 6 trees, you'll be able to access the "Tracks of the Beast" zone, through the tree bridge you'll form in the Giza South Bank.

In "Tracks of the Beast", you can find 4 silicon tortoises and an urn with the feather of the flock item (used to communicate with cockatrices). You can also find the Gil Snapper mark there.
