What do you all think of the Transformers game, for PS2? I actually can't get enough of it and, for the most part, it's ridiculously difficult xD I'm currently stuck on Level 4 of the Decepticons story mode, where you take control of Blackout and have to fight Ironhide. The bloody Transformers with those swinging chains give me a run for my money xD

Hrmm...I have not played it because alot of games that were movies first turn out to be pretty bad.

Do you get to choose which Bot you want to use? Which side you want?

You can play Campaign mode and chose to be either the Autbots or the Decepticons; essentially, you'll have to play both to get 100% completion. You're given the Transformer you have to use in each level, but they change quite frequently.

The movie's commercials were sex to my eyes. Post up a link to a video of gameplay. :monster:

I've completed both Campaigns, and they were both ridiculously challenging in certain areas. The latter time-based missions were complete bitches...

The Blackout vs Ironhide fight is by far my favourite mission. I almost won during my first attempt, but I made the mistake of taking to the air... his heavy ranged attack blew me away. I only wanted some health pickups. :(

Jazz vs Blackout & Starscream is another great mission. This is one game I'll not want to put to the back of the pile in a hurry... at all. Definitely worth purchasing.

EDIT:
Saix, any tips for the Ironhide mission, besides staying on the ground? xD

To me, it looks like the equivalent of GTA and this one Xbox 360 game that includes mechs. xD

Gameplay looks like loads of fun, especially if the little humans come out to play themselves. 8D

I can't really say I like the music, it's a tad repetitive and gets on my nerves. :S

It looks like a real buy, especially if it's for Xbox 360. :monster:

He'll charge at you ceaselessly once the wave of autobot grunts have been eliminated, so steer clear of him during this stage. He'll only travel in one line, so stay close enough to be able to deliver an instant combo. When he's on the ground, pick him up and throw him for some extra damage.

After this, he'll resume being invincible and hurl a barrage of ranged attacks at you until you're dead. So make sure you flee quickly. Copter form is faster, but you're safer on ground. You can kill the enemy copters easier in standard form too, so make sure you collect the health drops from them.

Take out the lackeys again, and repeat this process. The grunts will get stronger each time, and more aggressive, so keep your eye on the health bar at all times.

Just remember to steer clear of him until all the autobots are gone, otherwise you'll get pwned and have to start over again.

You help worked xD

I'm now actually fighting Optimus as Megatron, after fighting like 565768798967896546789 autbots and finding out you had to climb that tower, not destroy it, with 1 second to spare xD

EDIT:
Hahah ... now, I can catch Optimus, I can beat him ... but wtf? Starscream is fighting ME? Or is it just some kind of bot made by the Allspark?

I watched the youtube video and it seems decent enough. You can transform on the spot. It's quite nice.

The gameplay reminds me of The Hulk. Mhm..

Graphics are nice.

Any extra characters not in the movie?

Oh, okay.

From what I seen, it looks like it would get a tad repetative.

Are there like...upgrades, levels, new abilities, special moves? Stuff of that sort.

Unfortunately, you're stuck with a set of commands. There's attack (which you chain into a 3 hit combo), Shield, Jump, Transform, Light Ranged, and Heavy Ranged. The visuals vary per character, so it's not so bad. You get a number of chapters through the game, and you play as only one 'hero' per chapter (except in the first Decepticon campaign chapter, where you play as Scorponox...or whatever it's called, and during the final chapter). It's a fully interactable environment, so that adds to the beauty of the game.

Blackout and Starscream are the best. :3

Tr00fz. Megatron ain't so bad either [:

I actually discovered a new attack that's neither in the manuals or in the tutorials and whatnot.

When you have your shield up (R2) press Square and you should unleash this ... special-type move xD It's not massive, but it's snazzy and unique for everyone.

That's just a simple counter. I found that out whilst playing as Jazz actually... desperate times called for desperate button-pushing when fighting both Starscream and Blackout. o_O

Megatron disappointed me. His combo lunged him forward, occasionally causing you to completely miss your target, and his ranged attacks are poor. The afore-mentioned Decepticons had far better ranged attacks. Megatron's physically strong... but there are better out there.

This game is too repetative for my liking, it's just the same thing over and over again.

I do like the fact you can transform on the spot though.
