Tidus or Jecht which is stronger?

I think it's Tidus because he's much faster and is balanced in his techniques.

Mod edit: Please add more to your post, as one liners are considered spam. Are there any other reasons you prefer Tidus?

I'd say equal as its arguable as if you got two players. One player who always uses Tidus and One player who always uses Jecht then wouldn't it be 50/50 ? I've seen videos on youtube of the Onion Knight Pwning Sephiroth!
Personnaly i'd choose Tidus for his epicness!

On the basis of stats, not techniques, Tidus appears to be stronger. He's the fastest character in the game, he seems to hit harder, & Jecht has the weakest EX Burst. His EX Mode also increases his attack power & speed.

Tidus and Jecht are both strong characters damage wise, and both can do around the same damage

what makes a difference between them though is that obviously Tidus is faster, but has alot harder time dealing HP damage, while Jecht, being slower, can deal HP on every hit.

Tidus and Jecht are really strong but for me.. I prefer Jecht.. once you master the timing of his combos.. you can spam his HP attacks anytime.. nobody can beat you even those ai which are really strong and even in online matches.. once you can read your opponents moves, no matter how fast that character they're using is, correct timing of your block will help you win easily...
Jecht = Block -> Counter -> Combo -> EX cancel -> Combo again = pawned...

Tidus is alot more versatile in his approaches than Jecht, as Jecht can really only do so little. Jecht does however have the most highest priority guard in the entire game(higher than even an ex guard)

Tidus is fast(fastest in the game in EX), has one of the fastest attacks in the game, has deals heavy damage(even more in EX), but like squall has trouble landing the hp attack(even more so then squall, who at least has psuedo links)

Jecht can block pretty much anything in the game, screw up any psuedo link, and is the strongest linker in the game with a potential OHKO combo

you just cant see if one is better than the other without looking at their matchups

tidus is just a little bit ahead of jecht because he has more options and the more versatile a fighter the better they are in more situations....that said if jecht gets a hold of you he can really @#$% you up!

But jecht staggers against many HP moves. Tidus is a fast character which can keep hop stepping you to death. He needs many hits though. Jecht is harder to land a hit but once he does, uh oh...

I personally prefer Jecht, ive got his combos down so well its almost second nature to chain a combo into a hp move. Tidus DOES have alot of good pros too, like his speed and power in EXmode. But his HP attacks are a pain to land unless you chain quick hit all the time. (from hop step and such) But im more comfortable using Jecht.

They are almost equal in pros and cons.
Jecht has his blocks and combos into HP moves. His EXmode also gives him the ability to keep going in the convo without hitting first, plus with Riposte and EX Critial Boost, Jecht can deal massive damage in an EX Cancel combo. But hes slow and his combos are hard to time.
Tidus has both speed and power on his side, both out of and in EX mode. His Combos can do good damage and its easy to keep pressure on your opponent with his speed. Combo => knock away => Dash => Combo => Quick Hit. But his normal HP moves are a pain to use, and his blocking is adequate at best.

So its a toss up really, just depends on who uses them.

I always thought it was kind of stupid that Jecht had to turn into the Final Aeon just to keep attacking if he missed.

That being said, I still haven't figured out how to make an HP attack stem from his Brave attacks.

I prefer Jecht because he is easier to pull off HP attacks with. His HP attacks are really strong to. I also like Jecht just because the way his attacks feel. I'd rather drill a hole through the enemy's stomach than hop/run them to death. Jecht's EX mode is pretty useless though.
(My favorite character will always be Zidane though )

The thing I don't like about Jecht is the powering up of his moves. It's so easy to be attacked while doing that.
