This might be the best line delivery of all time.

I did not think you would, why are you afraid of clowns?
Because I saw IT when i was younger. And after I saw the film, my older siblings used to scare me about clowns. :hmph: and then there was an incident in Wal-mart where this clown was following me and my family around... or at least to my 8 year old mind it seemed like he was. :wacky:

They have weird makeup.. what's with the white face paint? the creepy shoes? or that weird eye-outline. it's terrifying.

I'm gonna read that book. I never got how a book could be scary til I read Pet Sematary.

IT is good. I recommend it. The last confrontation gets a little bit ... mystical, and almost theological, which is kinda irritating, but it's not completely off-putting. Definitely worth the read.

That'd be the one. The whole
turtle
thing gets a little preachy for my tastes. I mean I get where he was going with it, good v. evil, etc. buuut.... yeah.

I agree, still as you said phenomenal book

A mate of mine rented the film one night when his room mates were heading out, they recommended it ofc. About an hour in he heard a scratching at the window, opens the blind and nothing's there. Naturally a clown pops out and scares the shit out of him

One room mate was dressed as pennywise, the other two filmed it

Lol. Nice.

The movie's ok. Kinda cheesy, but that's to be expected considering it's an '80s flick. And it does have some genuinely scary parts. 4 hours long, too, IIRC. :hmmm:

Withnail is an old 80s comedy about two londoners who go to the countryside for some reason

La Haine is a French film about rioting and violence, that kind of thing. Apparently it's very good

I feel so very hipster now, I'll let you know if they are good

:wacky: Sounds good. I'm not a huge movie guy, but I'll give just about anything a watch. La Haine looks pretty interesting.
