Several reasons for it:
1: Villain has lots of Goblin henchmen
2: Gummi Bears jump like Dragoons
3: Forest location and middle ages
4: You get power drinks
5: Moggle like bears makes me think of Gummi Bears
Most, if not all, of these similarities are highly likely to be because this is standard fare in high fantasy settings. The original Final Fantasy was very heavily derivative of Dungeons and Dragons, which itself drew from various properties in the fantasy genre, as well as (predominantly 'western') mythology.
Moogles didn't appear until Final Fantasy III (though there was some planning behind them already in the works for Final Fantasy II, but I believe these changed into the Beavers). The Dragoon job class did not appear until Final Fantasy II either.
Reversing this, though, there is an animation called Captain N: The Game Master which is widely stated to have taken inspiration from Final Fantasy instead. One episode seems heavily based on Final Fantasy I and even has its own Matoya.
So while not something that inspired Final Fantasy, this is something which was inspired by it.
(I know nothing about the wider show Captain N as I only encountered it when I learned of this trivia)
You're wrong! The Final Fantasy franchise was inspired by the ambition of fully-realizing the extent of how beautiful women can truly become! Through the power of technology!
Just take a look at Lulu. Perfection Personified. PP. Peepee. She certainly knows how to... arouse it.
