I had to do a little research into John Kennedy's assassination for one of my assignments on the 60's, and it's got me quite interested. I don't have the patience to look through the hours worth of evidence to try and form a proper opinion, but from what I can tell, most of the conspiracies are poorly put together ideas. The "one bullet" theory in particular is absolutely absurd. It would take nothing short of a miracle for a bullet to take that path.
And it's funny how the best evidence on the conspiracies was all provided by the KGB. xD

The way I see it is, Oswald snapped and decided he'd kill someone, anyone. Conveniently, the President was coming to town.
Ruby basically went insane (as he pleaded) and killed Oswald as a sort of revenge mission.
But of course, I haven't looked into it in too much depth, so there might be stronger evidence to disprove me.

Anyway, what's everyone else's thoughts on the whole incident?

I think you might know more about the assassination than I do, and I'm a bloody American.

I also believe that 1 bullet theory is absolute rubbish. I just so happen to believe that there was more than one bullet fired to cause all that damage. Like the bullet that exploded JFK's head. That bullet had to have gone clean through. Either Oswald was an excellent marksman to have fired 3 shots or he had some help. Not much else I can say about it except watch the Zapruder Film.

His head wasn't exploded. He didn't die until half an hour after he was shot.
But witnesses have said they heard shots fired. I.e. more than one.

Oswald was a former Marine Corp, so he had the training for it really.

In the last documentary I saw, there were three shots, three different people, three different locations.
I've seen and a lot about this and I believe that this is the right situation, nothing is sure though, but we'll find out soon enough, once all that information becomes available to the public, I think maybe 10 years :)

It's over 40 years since he was shot, I doubt anything else is going to be coming out for the public now.
It's also funny how three separate courts have run a case, and all have found Oswald guilty.

I recently took a college course that focused heavily on the Kennedy assassination. After having conspiracy theories shoved down my throat by my overly paranoid professor, I came to believe that the events surrounding Kennedy's assassination are much different than the ones that are described to us by the government.

I'm too lazy to outline the various theories, but I find them believable for the most part. In short, I believe Oswald's public image was purposely tainted by the government prior to the assassination to make him appear like a pro-Castro communist. He'd stand no chance in court. Oswald lacked the ability to kill the president from such a distance. When Oswald's rifle was recovered, the scope was found to be so horribly out of line, hitting Kennedy--a moving target--from the Book Depository would be a miracle. Oswald's military records aren't indicative of someone who is a skilled marksman.

That's just a fraction of the reasoning. I definitely believe the assassination was a conspiracy. Kennedy was a moron for being in Dallas in the first place, however.

As a marine corp, I'd say Oswald had enough skills to be able to kill a moving target from distance (which wasn't that huge really).
Then there's also the fact that he'd attempted to assassinate General Walker just a few months prior to Kennedy. I know that was never proved, but he even left a note to his wife with details of what she should do if he were arrested or killed.
And afaik, there's no record of Oswald ever meeting up with a communist leader, let alone ever being in Cuba. Except for that short period when he was in London, but I don't think there's anything to make of that.
