The Weapon System

It was an interesting weapon system, though I guess it always would have been nice to see more changes in the design. Personally, I wouldn't mind having the same weapon throughout the game, as long as it was somehow important to the story (like an heirloom sword, or something).

The same exact weapon throughout the whole game would seriously annoy the hell out of me.

I can see having one sword in the beginning and then getting upgrades and add-ons and see those on the sword. Now, that'd be quite awesome.

Honestly, as far as weapon designs go… I hardly ever paid attention to them in this one. As said earlier, the only weapons that I really cared about (let alone judged the appearances of) were the Celestial Weapons.

The weapons system confused me at first, but later I got used to it and actually liked it a lot. The design of the weapons was awesome too, Tidus's first sword was one of the best for me though.

yeah the system was cool being able to creat a wepon that has

triple overdrive
fitst strike
break dmg limit
counteratk

was pretty cool imo

Yeah, the weapon creation has to be one of the best throughout the FF games. It was really creative. I just didn't like how some weapons seemed repeated.

Okay, I have mixed feelings about the weapon system in FFX.

I loved how yout got things such as 'Strength +5%' and things but I hated how that some of the weapon designs didn't change. It annoyed me so greatly. I liked how in FFVIII you could upgrade your weapons and things.

Did anyone else feel this way?

Discuss: FFX's Weapon System

Youre like me, you like to see what you have equipped. Like Legend of Legaia. That game shows everything you have equipped. It sucks how some of it is repeated with weapons in 10.

leki didnt much like it it didnt bother leki that they basically looked the same, it was just annoying to get basically multiples of some of the weapons. i had to go through and figure out ones to try and work on, they were so non-organizable. very basic, i think.

^_^!!!! I am the exact same. I like to see what i've equiped and what has upgraded and what not. haha. It's just a peeve of mine.

i liked the weapon system in 10 coz if your weapon had something like thunder strike and you were fighting a fiend that absorbs thunder you could change it so you dont heal it every other attack

Hmmm I liked the ability to modify weapons and armor in this game. It was kind of a challenge getting the REALLY good perks together. ^.^

I liked all the customization as well, but I'd rather see some kinda of modifications to the weapon design.

I guess it's better than buying a weapon that already has set abilities. =/.

i lykd tha weapons in FFX coz u could avdd different elements nd strengths 2 different weapons 2 make tha percific weapon powerful but i no where ur cumin from hayate customisin ur own weapon would b a great idea if only we could do tha in all FF games

^ In the future please refrain from that way of typing, it's annoying and well.. this is not a chat program...

OT:

That's a nice idea, when you add an ability you see a new part added on the weapon itself ... maybe they never thought of it, or were too lazy to get into it? :D

Well, what I thought they did was (with the exception of the Brotherhood - I'm not sure about the Celestial Weapons) add up the equipped abilities, and then certian combinations would have certain names, and then those certain names would have certain appearances.
Is that right, 'cause if it is, I don't quite get the complaint.

the weapons are actually useless unless they have a good effect or it's the celestial weapons

Seeing as you can't fight with hands in FFX, this statement is false.

This was annoying. I'd much rather pay shit loads of Gil for something than hunt down items to make it.

Are you kidding me? I had no problems with evade&counter. The customizing system is cool.

It didn't bother me at all, Infact to be quite honest I didn't really notice and once I had all the celestial weapons I didn't really care all that much anyway. I like Lulu's tho and even tho I never used any of them when I FINALLY got the onion knight hers were the only ones I kept because they were cool
