So, is anyone here a fan of "The Tudors"?
For those who don't know, the "The Tudors" is a showtime series and it is about the reign and marriages of Henry VIII, who would have been the perfect Renaissance Prince if it weren't for his frustration caused by not being able to obtain a male child. His marriage with Catherine of Aragon ended by this very same reason, as so it did when he divorced (and executed) Anne Boleyn.

YES! I absolutely love this show! I watch it every sunday. The last episode was tough, especially for Anne. I'm eagerly awaiting the next one. It's going to be good. I hear there is going to be a third season, so that'll be good.:)

Yes, since Henry Tudor married six different wives throughout his life, and so far we have only seen:
-Catherine of Aragon (natural death)
-Anne Boleyn (current wife)
-Jane Seymour (future third wife)

Yes, this episode was though for Ann, but in reality, the whole ordeal she had to experience was far worse.

Also, we have only witnessed the accident that caused the injury on Henry's leg, which would mark the beginning of his numerous health conditions and would also cause him to become an overweight and ill king.

:gasp:

I'll probably watch this when I can and when I also find out when/where it is on. Henry VIII just generally interested me quite a lot ever since I saw another program on him (then again I love history), but this program sounds more like it goes into more detail which is always a good thing :)

I absolutely love this show as well!! Unfortunately I don't have Showtime, so I'll have to buy the second season when it comes out on dvd.. The first season was amazing though, so I'm willing to wait.

I heard that in the third season they're thinking about getting Jonathan Reyhes Meyers to wear a fat suit and put on a bald cap! :gasp: That will be quite an unpleasant sight.. but I guess they're just trying to keep it somewhat accurate.

So Henry has already met Jane Seymour then? I thought that wouldn't happen for awhile....

They are about to execute Anne Boleyn, and Henry has already made the preparations to marry Jane Seymour.

I believe the last episode I saw was 209, and it shows Anne Boleyn locked in the Tower.
