Okay, I'm not getting my hopes up but it seems really cool. I like the unique take their giving this. But since I'm a HUGE fan of the book I can't help but worry about how bad it could be.

But one thing is for sure... who they got to play Milady de Winter is SO perfect. Only Milla Jovovich could capture de Winter's villainy. I really just dislike who they got to play D'Artagnan. I like the actor, but it doesn't suit D'Artagnan. :/

But oh my word! Christoph Waltz as Cardinal Richelieu is SO PERFECT, he will definitely do him justice.

I so CANNOT wait for this film.

Wow. I'm sold. I've always liked the Three Musketeers. It's an interesting take on the book considering Milla Jovovich is sliding down a hallway of what appears to be traps. Didn't remember that part. Nor the part with the airship. Oh well, looks bad ass.

And did I see Orlando Bloom in that trailer? WTF? Is he going to try to play as someone cool for once(Yes, Legolas wasn't that great).

He's playing the Duke of Buckingham. :ohoho: I know it's like an Alice of wonderland take on the book, but it still seems like a great watch. C:

Mila Jonovich! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Ahem, I cannot wait to see this movie. Mila fighting with sword? Absolutely awesome. The action actually looks amazing, so I will have to see this. I'm not happy to see Orlando Bloom in this, but oh well, here's hoping it will be as awesome as it comes off in trailer.

"Was it 40 or 400?"
"Just 40. It was an off day."

I think it looks terrible. The book is great, it doesn't need guns and airships, it's exciting enough as it is. It seems so incredibly stupid, it's set nearly 400 years ago, there are no airships, or guns:rage: I think they're just putting them in for the 3D. The casting doesn't seem very good either, Milla Jovovich is barely an actor, Orlando Bloom isn't particularly good either. Paul Anderson is even worse.

Lmao, they do that sort of thing in the book, too. xD

There were guns.

The siege of La Rochelle, Chapter 42: On reaching the foot of the bastion, there were still more than a dozen or fifteen of the enemy. A last discharge welcomed them, but did not stop them. They leaped into the ditch, and prepared to scale the breach.

“Now, my friends,” said Athos, “finish them at a blow. To the wall! to the wall!”

And the four friends [i.e., the Three Musketeers and D’Artagnan], aided by Grimaud, pushed with the barrels of their muskets an enormous side of the wall, which bent over as if swayed by the wind, and giving way from its base, fell with a horrible crash into the ditch. Then a fearful cry was heard, a cloud of dust mounted toward the sky, and all was over!

Tah-dah :ryan: All is well.

I thought everyone was perfect besides D’Artagnan. :hmmm:

Milla Jovovich is barely an actor, Orlando Bloom isn't particularly good either.

Agreed. These two factors are the only thing giving me doubts about this movie. I hope it doesn't ruin it. But now my Spider Sense is telling me it might. Hopefully the action sequences with counter the possible lack of acting. Damn, my excite meter for this movie has gone down.

I don't why there's so much beef for her or Orlando. They're good actors. They're not brilliant but they're not bad. I've reread this book tons of times, and I love each and every character. I can honestly say I think they'll be good.

hmmm, I was wrong about the guns, but they certainly didn't have a flamethrower:rage:
I disagree about the casting, Milla Jovovich is good for being in B movies shooting zombies, which anyone could do. Paul Anderson will never even become a journeyman director. I liked Christoph Waltz in Inglorious Basterds, but Richlieu shouldn't get a lot of screen time. With the exception of Orlando Bloom, none of those people are A-list actors, probably not even B-list. I think the book deserves better.

I just don't like Orlando, but I could be surprised by his acting. Mila acts perfectly fine, maybe not "perfect perfect" but her acting isn't terrible. She was good in A Perfect Getaway as a crazy chick and very good in Ultraviolet, and they weren't zombie films. Seems a bit dramatic to claim that she isn't an actor or bad at it. :(

As for the airships...I think it sounds awesome! It obviously wasn't in the book, but I guess they are trying to take a neat twist with it. I for one, think it looks very cool.

They had those type of artilary back then. It wasn't very hard to create. :wacky: I thought he'd make a great Cardinal Richelieu to be honest. And I recall him frequenting the books more than a few times. So he'll have a good screen time.

The book definitely deserves a better D’Artagnan, that's for sure. :ahmed:

I just read up on IMDB that Ray Stevenson is Porthos. I liked him in Book of Eli but was downright horrid in The Punisher: WarZone movie. God, was that awful. The rest of the cast seems to be some average or up and coming actors. Also, a lot of them were in the same movies(i.e. King Arthur or Inglorious Bastards). Isn't IMDB great?

I am intrigued by the multiple cannon in the trailer. I wonder what he's firing at?

Who knows, it's a sword in hand film, of my favorite four men. :ryan: I just wanna see it :3
