The Sorceress (FF8) vs Sephiroth (FF7)

I think Sephy would win, even though the Sorceress has her magic and all it could easily be deflected by Sephy. Besides, his 6ft sword aint good for nothin' so he'll slice her to pieces :P Besides, I think he's more evil than she is so therefore he's be more driven to crucify x]
 
It depends on which sorceress.... although i think ultimecia would kick Sephiroth's ass. shes just as cruel as sephiroth... and pretty much all sephy has going for him is his sword skills... i think sephy would be screwed if ultimecia summoned griever... edea... not so much, i think she would get her ass kicked by sephy.. T-T shes my fave too.... but its the brutal, honest truth

Sephiroth, hands down. Yes, he has his magnificent sword-skills, he also has immortality behind him, along with other powers, such as the ability to create clones of himself (Bizzaro and Seraph, much? :P) He battled Cloud in the darkness of thought, summoned a Meteor, actually prevented Holy from aiding the planet, not to mention his infamous Nibelheim Scene.

Let's take the most powerful, Ultimecia: all SHE had going for her was Time Compression, which, granted, she achieved. She has her magic, which could be used against her instead. She has her GF, which would lose instantly against Seraph Sephiroth. Let's not forget, Sephiroth is a God, he has his fellow worshipers to give him support (not that he needs it) ;)
 
Sephiroth would win hands down....let me tell you why. not only did he summon meteor, prevent holy, have bizzaro and safer sephiroth clones which could annihalate anything, but he also had every materia mastered in case you didnt remember his scene where he fought with cloud at his side against the dragon. but ultimecia wouldnt even stand a chance even in the time compressed world cuz sephiroth would prevent it from happening
 
i'm so ******* sick of people say that sephiroth is the best, and no-one else is. it just so annoying that you can't accept that your precious little hero can be beaten. :mad: ultimcia could beat sephy any day, using her powerful time magics.
 
what power *ohh, look at me, i can show an image of myself from far away. But i have to let mummy fight the good guys until the get their far asses over to me, allowing them plenty of time to beat the **** out of me*
 
Sefiros Would OWN every sorceress put together. His sword is actually close to 12 feet then the real masamunes 6 ft(the sword is alaways twic as long as he is tall), he can summon a meteor, Is IMMORTAL, The ultimate boss in TWO games, last boss in 7, ANd, lest wee forget:
bah-bah-bah-bah-bah
ree-woo-ree-woo-ree-woo-ree-woo
etc.
 
I think it would be quite a fair fight. Though Sephiroth is more skilled in his physical attacks and Ultimecia is more on the magics side of it. It would be evenly matched, but I would have to go with Ultimecia in the end. Sephiroth may have the sword skills, but Ultimecia is more advanced in magic which is normally the biggest thread of them all.
 
Sephiroth is more than just a sword: he consumed Jenovas will, meaning that his will(essentially what makes magic hapen) is great enough to consume that of an interstellar supervirus.
 
The sorceress have no chance against Sephiroth because if he fight them seriously, he would killed them almost instantly, and the only reason why Cloud keeps defeating Sephiroth again and again is because Sephiroth was somehow blinded by his great ego and because he was just toying with Cloud. Also we have one more reason why a sorceres (Ultimacia for example) can't defeat Sephirot, it's because even if Ultimacia (for example) had more experince than Sephiroth in the Magical Arts, our friend Sephiroth is also skilled in this area and much more, both his physical and magical power was greatly increased when he absorved Jenova's own power and we must not forget that he has the Black Materia.

Sephiroth is unstoppable. The greatest villian of all time! No other video game villian can compare( expect for Nazi's but that's because they're everywhere)

Why? Here is the answer:
Ultimacia may be powerfull and all that but her magic is based on the basic type of magic (Bizzaga, Firaga, Ultima, Thundaga, Death and many others). Not a single one of Ultimacia's spells are legendary, they are just the most powerful versions of each of them. She summoned a Griever like GF using Squall's necklace and a magical spell that allows her to summon or create, GF from items. Sephiroth, on the other hand, can summon the most powerful types of Materia and he can also summon the most powerful spell, Meteor. He prevented Holy the first time it was summoned. He is almost imortal and he is also a skilled swordsman.

Ultimacia was able to cast the Time Compression by using a machine created by the scientist called Odin. This machine was based on Ellone's special ability to send people's minds to the past. He fused her magic with Odin's machine and then she was able to cast the Time Compression.

It's been a long time since I played FFVIII (almost six years ago) and I have a bad memory. So if anyone can correct me, then please be my guest.
