its a pretty damn amazing film i definately put it in my top 5 favourite films ever made. City of god will alwyas be number 1 but the shawshank redemption is outstanding.

Is it this a 1993 movie,where they are in prison? I think i saw it !!
Absolutely fantastic film. Tim Robbins gave a really good performance, as did Morgan Freeman. I think it's probably one of my favourite Morgan Freeman films. There are far too few films with such a good emotional pay off nowadays.
The Shawshank Redemption is one of the best film's ever made, I love the story it show's the threat in prison from other inmate's, how corrupt people can be and how friendship can start between people. It's definitely one of my top 3 favourite films.
