My apologies for having kept you all waiting as long as you have had to, but I myself have worked tirelessly on this for the last while in hopes of bringing to all you RPGers an enjoyable RPGing experience, and hope you like what is done so far. :monster:

I won't spoil too much about the RPG, but I may advise that actually adding some to your MAG DEF, especially for some of the places just now accessible, with this RPG's numbers, it is more certain to make a difference, as a little can go a long ways.

Without further delay, I give to you the RPG Inferno. I do hope you enjoy what I have created for your entertainment, and do be sure to point out if anything needs to be fixed if you run into something. ;)

Want to get back to the first location. But the last place, I went to, is on top of it.

I apologise if this comes across as an attack, it isn't my intent but i've so far reached the first battle and so far...

The shop, why is it so warrior focused? There's a full set of equipment for warriors yet only a dagger for assassins and no spells or equips for mages

Also, as the last (or was it the RPG before that?) showed, fully equipped monsters at the start is an unwise idea and this proved it. Against an inferior opponent i'm dealing 2-3 damage per hit and it doesn't even scratch me (Trial Guard I think it's called?) and when it's got 70HP... I'm pretty darn bored quickly :hmmm: I honestly didn't want to continue by the time it had 45 left when there's also misses and 0 damage hits to take into account. If I may make a suggestion, i'd advise nerfing the first area (Tower of Trials) monsters considerably, we shouldn't be struggling to deal damage, much less win battles right from the get go, i'd advise 1-5 hits to defeat opponents at the beginning and work the difficuly up from there tbh.

As for the above complaint, i'm sure it's obvious where the problem lies there, we shouldn't be forced into being a warrior/underpowered Assassin, some of us would like the option of a class from the start which appears to have been overlooked in favour of a warrior approach imo. The way it looks to me at this point is, the RPG will turn out (like the majority of it's predecessors) Warrior focused with Assassins and Mages taking a backseat, being almost a pointless class.

That's all so far :hmmm:

But the equipment is all light armor so assassins and warriors can equip it cause they both need a bit of armor at the start so light armor does seem to be the best choice as it suits both classes and there is five spells you can buy at the shop at the start for a mage.

I thought you get a pretty good selection of what kind of class you want to be at the start but I always choose a warrior class so I wouldn't have much experience with the other classes and what kind equipment they need to start off with

Ah I must have missed that, in that case I apologise and retract that :hmmm:

Also, how many floors are there to this 'Tower of Trials'? because i'm sure I speak for most when I say it really drags... And i'm only on floor 3 :hmmm:

There are a lot more floors and I mean a lot I think am at ten but the monsters do get harder after the third floor so you do get a bit of a challenge but take your time and level up cause the final boss is really hard

It's not the challenge that's the problem, it's the 'hitting-a-brick-wall' style monsters, I can't be alone in my 2-3 average damage fighting, surely? :wacky:

It's more a case of reasonable enemies that are a challenge :hmmm:

Hm, so it is mostly mixed feelings so far, huh? Well, it was different for me working on it this time around, keep in mind that it was all a one man job, I didn't have any other RPG Director to consult for stuff related to the RPG Inferno's development... :hmmm:

And that being said, there was only me to test any of the stuff in the RPG, like the monsters. Also keep in mind the Tower of Trials is in fairly large part about grinding through areas to the top, then beating the opponent that awaits at the tower's peak. In short; Survival.

Pardon the double post, but I thought the following adjustments should be mentioned.

A Blue Mage's Staff is now available at the Beginner's shop at the Tower of Trials entrance (which I regret having started with...), provides +5 MP and +1 MAG boosts.

Also, the DEF and EVA of monsters have been taken down some to make them more manageable to defeat in battle, so it shouldn't take so many turns even at lower levels, as well as the odd other change to the monsters to make them less of a pain, but reasonable.

Hopefully the changes provide a more enjoyable and less boring, slow paced RPG experience. ^^; Oh, and for those who have gotten far enough to see the item Red Mage's Staff, the stat modifiers have adjusted from MAG +1 to MAG +2 and MAG DEF +1 to make it superior to the added Blue Mage's Staff.

I'll PM you about that so I don't spoil it here and now. :tehe:

I also lowered the HP of all of the monsters. They were just made out to be way too much in the way of tanks for enemies for the start of the RPG, so it should be much better now.

I got to the stairway. Wondering if I'm finished for now. Thank you for pming me. :monster:

Nevermind, I found the nasty boss with the nasty spell. Don't you think giving it a heal spell was a bit much? With the other nasty spell? Oh well I'll beat it tomorrow.

Am a bit stuck I can't seem to find the next place I can go to, I defeated the Bloodmoon boss and went back to talk to the NPC that gave me the challenge and got the items from him and I went and talked to the other NPC's but none of them will give me a new location to go to, did I miss an NPC by any chance or am at too low of a level to advance to the next area?

That's right, but that was just a lucky guess, wasn't it Damon? You wouldn't be at that place at Level 1 (obviously. :P). >.>

Whenever more areas are finished and opened, the empty shop will no longer be empty, and I would imagine the Informant NPC would allow the next set of areas to be accessed through the Crimson Wolf NPC, which is how you should be getting to the start of most new areas.

Finally, I have been waiting a while for this. /overhype

Now question, since I am the first, I want to get this out there, in case anyone else might be interested.

Will the clans have to be remade, or will we be in the same ones? I know its early, and people won't be thinking about it, blah blah, etc. etc., but I was just curious.

Well, it is early, so I'm not really sure on that myself yet, so I can't really say anything on that I am afraid. But I alone cannot run four RPG clans, creating all the areas and all the content inside of them, then monitoring all four of them...so something will need to change for me to really be able to clarify things any more on that...

I had a feeling that would be somewhere along the lines of your answer. :hmmm:

Didn't even see this thread to realize it was up, though. Accidentally 'clicked' on the RPG with my touchy touch pad, and it went right up. :wacky:

Ah, then I guess you thought to look to see a thread up about it, eh? :wacky: Funny way to find out the RPG is back up, just randomly click on it the first time in a while... =P

I will do my best to make the RPG as enjoyable of an experience as I can, just need everyone to understand that I did everything myself, and until things change, will continue to...so things may be far from perfect, but it is my hope that they will be acceptable.

At least RPG Inferno is indeed back up and playable. ^^;

Don't know about anybody else, but I'm having fun. Good to just play the game and not have to worry about the mechanics.
