The Little Mermaid World.

The Musical World...

It didn't work because most of the songs didn't come from the actual movie, and most of them were made up, had nothing to do with the world and what's going on and didn't have the connection of childhood memories. The only songs that played from the actual movie where Under The Sea and Part of that world.

That was only two songs from the actual movie, was excited throughout the Little Mermaid world because was waiting to hear a thrilling and upbeat version of Poor Unfortunate Souls. Only in the end, only to come out rather stinking disappointed...

Believe that if the Little Mermaid world in KH2 ignored making up new songs and stayed true to the original music and replayed memories from Kiss the Girl and Phantoms Below. That the world would of been less embarrassing, and maybe would of had a better of a chance of working among the players..

What do you think ? Agree/Disagree ?

Discuss !! :]

It was alright. In fact, most of the areas in KH2 were smaller than anything in the first game. And easier for that matter.

I dunno, I liked the songs. I was kind of face-palming at Sora and co's awful singing, but I wasn't really miffed about it. I like the Disney influence in Kingdom Hearts, but I've gotten to the point where I'm playing KH for it's own original story and characters. Disney characters and their stories are just the side dish of KH for me.

Actually, I had a lot of trouble maneuvering underwater back in KH1 (really all I did was target and attack, hoping my hits would connect >.<), so I did kind of prefer doing something easier underwater *shrugs*

Well personally, I thought it was a waste of time =/ I mean its something I did but, idk it was just an utter waste of time. Don't get me wrong i like the little mermaid but I think KH would've just done fine without it. Although since it was in the first they probably put it in the 2 as well. I mean it was something different I give it that :monster:

I haven't played the Kingdom Hearts games in a long time, but from what I remember, I thought it was awful in both games.

In KH1, navigating was difficult and messy, and that Ursula boss fight? Urgh. Hideous.

In KH2...it was pointless, and annoying. At least in KH1 it was challenging, and it was different. In KH2, it just seemed tacked on and unnecessary. Instead of fighting...we're singing. Underwater. With fish. Fun.

the most intuitive cameo world is and has always been (IMO) the nightmare before xmas (it gets an unfair advantage of being the product of tim burton and a novel...but still!). The little mermaid...the first one was unique and quirky, the second was a minefield of head-desk inducers. the singing! THE SINGING T_T i'll take hard-to-maneuver aquatic warfare over sora's singing voice any day...

I never played the first one, so I can't say anything good, bad, or otherwise about it. With that being said, let me explain why I didn't like the KH2 version of this place...

1)Need to get magic to advance through to the next song...why? It would just be easier to wait until the end when you have everything, that way you don't have to keep going back to it when you get the next magic (unless you like the place).

2)You sing to deal damage to enemies. Seriously? I think that's just bad. I can understand singing to sing, but to encorporate it into battle, it just doesn't work.

Sora was good, don't lie :mokken:

And it did work for me. I did not like fighting underwater in KH 1. This way, there was a fun world aside from just fighting heartless. And the songs were cute and awesome :awesome:
