has anyone seen it?

we're going to the theaters saturday and im not sure if i wanna see this or man of steel. i went and checked out some reviews and people say it's pretty shit... but i do not trust them! i trust you all. so tell me if you've seen it.

I myself have not seen it. But many of my friends have. Not a single good comment about the movie came from any of them. Apparently the trailer is like the last fifteen minutes of the movie. The rest was some boring set up to the world they lived in.

I was kinda interested in seeing this film, but of the two I would much prefer to go and see Man of Steel. With The Purge, I can't help but feel it's gonna be a serious case of good idea executed poorly. I shall wait for it on DVD.

I just saw it recently. Glad there is a thread for it, lol! I was hoping someone would wanna talk about it...but *ahem*.

The concept...is good, but...well, the film does have its good points, like turns that you wouldn't expect. And to me, the ending was awesome, very moral and it was funny...but I wouldn't use the $9-$10 fee to go see it. I would just download it and watch it for free if I were you. Man of Steel, ay? Being a superhero movie that was highly anticipated, I think that one would be more worth your money, whether it turns out to be good or not.

Also, although not much at all, The Purge kinda had unnecessary love making in it. A few of the stereotypical things was a bit of a bother.
