It's not bad, but from the Dissidia 2 screenshots I think it works better as her in the other suit.

Her face looks awfully... tacked on. :hmmm:

It just kinda looks like they've put her face on Light's model. xD
 
I dont know why Square Enic decided to do this but I guess it loks alright. But it is nothing like Aya it just looks like they took out Light's head and put Aya's head. Weird SE are weird :lew:
 
Oh god, why can't they just make new costumes for Aya? :ffs: Or use her past ones from PE1 and PE2? D= It can't be THAT hard to make new ones, I mean REALLY. .__. I don't like her in Lightning's clothing at all, it looks crap. It really IS like Light with a new face tacked on.

I think they've done the same with Light in Dissidia 2, she has Aya's (I think it's Aya) costume on as an alternate one.
I read it somewhere in the D2 discussion thread, I swear... :hmmm:
 
I really dont think this costume appears in the 3rd birthday but rather an altternate costume for Lightning in Dissidia II. EDIT: Wait that is weird. Why are they in both games?

Ohhhh I haven't checked that thread yet, I'll have to look. (yes, it is Aya. :wacky:) That's just stupid and lazy though, they could EASILY make other costumes for them. Even if it was only a recolor like they did with some people in Dissidia, they could do that. =/

It does seem a bit lazy, probably some sort of crossover idea that they've had thinking it'd be cool to tie the series over.

I'm not sure really, but I don't know if it suits Light that much, and it doesn't suit Aya that well really. As I said it basically just looks like they've sticked her head on Light's model. Lazy.
 
If someone showed me that, I'd be forgiven for thinking that it's some tacky piece of Photoshop. The whole thing is just SE wanting to probably promote both games and/or answer some weird calls from fans by having Aya and Lightning swap outfits, which is a rather lame way of doing it. As I said before, they may as well just have both characters actually make guest appearances in each other's games.
 
How come they couldn't just give Aya regular old costumes like a maids dress or something? It's not creative at all. -___-
Like everyone else said, it just looks like they switched Aya and Light's heads around. It looks kinda creepy.
 
I don't think they tacked the face,they just put Aya in the same pose fer publicity,and since she dresses the same outfit then lightning,she looks like her! anyone with this outfit

Soooo....I guess Aya has a bigger rack than Lightning? :monster:

Although I have to agree it really seems like a quick PhotShop job. I mean, is Aya actually going to be using a gunblade like Lightning? :wacky:
 
Peoples who dont know 3d will say its photoshp,but when you rig a character,you give life to him,after there is the motion capture who gives movement!Its easy to create a character then takes his close and put it in another character and then use the same motion capture data,or since its rigged and alive ,you just do the same pose!And thats it!
Everything was done in 3d ,no photoshop,i am telling you!
 
This is so wierd. I don't know what SE is thinking but they got me scratching my head and shaking it in embarassment, much like Capcom has in recent years with their crappy ideas to reinvigorate their properties. I hope they have something better up their sleeves than this. I'd hate to actually stop buying their non FF installments like I have with Capcom.

We're aware of that. We were commenting on that image you posted, saying how at first glance it looks like someone's opened up Photoshop and did a quick head swap. Of course it would work differently for an in-game model.

It really does to be honest though, if I saw that I wouldn't put it as a creditable source.
Although as you've said, it'll look differently in-game. It may actually look quite good but otherwise I don't quite see it.

It's just a marketing point for both games I think, let's hope there's not too much more of this.
 
They're using Lightning why? A large part of the fanbase thought FFXIII was a huge disappointment, even Square-Enix recognized by official statements and coming out themselves saying they're aware that the fans found the game less than satisfactory.

So don't start milking characters/outfits in PE from OTHER games. :ffs:
 
FFXIII may not have been a game that majority will fap over, but I think Lightning herself doesn't have much negative press :hmmm:
 
I just find it stupid in general that Square Enix did such a thing. It fails so ad it is not even funny. First of All I do not even see a resemblance between Lightning and Aya Brea. Next thing we might see is more Se Characters having other se character alternates. I really think this is a really ridiculous idea. Sure I love Aya and Lightning but I can not really see how they did this. Lightning Brea :ffs:
