The most annoying battle ever!

Here, I present my official rant of the day.

I decided to replay the game because it takes me away from the stress of my exams and gives me something else to focus on. So I was near Gongaga on the first disc looking for Yuffie when I got cornered by a bunch of FROGS! They kept on turning me human to frog, frog to human, etc.

The next thing I know, they keep putting me to sleep. So I thought, "Right, I'm gonna get you little buggers!" and attacked whenever I could. Got down to the last frog and then all my characters were asleep and a frog. The worst part? The frog wouldn't do anything! It didn't do anything for about ten minutes! I was sat there bored out of my mind and he finally slapped Tifa. She then delivered the final blow.

I didn't even find Cloud and Barret as frogs doing their victory dance funny. :eek:uttahere:
 
I think that the reason that they don't hit you once you're "frogged" is to stop you from benefitting out of a lack of ... savvy. :wacky: If they hit you when you're in a frog state, then you turn back in to your human state (a little trick: if all three of you are frogged, hit yourselves - you'll turn back in to humans). I think SS just took a pre-emptive strike on a potential glitch by stopping the frogs from hitting you when you're already...frogged. xD
 
How could I hit myself when we were asleep as well as being a frog, Dave? xD
 
Oh I agree with you totally, these frogs were so damn annoying to battle. I'm not a fan of doing, but I think this was the 1 battle in this game that I would just escape from because the effort just wasn't worth the reward. I honestly don't even remember how I battled them, I think I just attacked them straight up, getting creative would take too long and I'd be stuck in the same predicament as you were in. Totally not worth the effort though, agreed!
 
I feel for you. Nothing, nothing is more annoying than that. Getting frogged is maybe the worst thing that can ever happen in FF. I'm sorry.
 
I agree, being a frog is by far the worst state!

The worse thing is getting frogged in the battle arena, after you've had your items taken away! damn frogs!
 
I wonder if Cloud or the others could ever talk about being frogs? I'd imagine him telling Tifa she was hot, but then she'd slap him in the face. xD

I'd rather be constantly attacked than being a frog!
 
Or like at the Golden Saucer when your in Battle, and there just happens to be frogs, and somthing else, don't remember what. And they end up completely pwning. and you end up completely failing.
 
Just use status effect preventing equipment, that's what it's there for. :P

But in all honesty, I'd say Marlboro battles are worse in some of the FF games, then you get ALL the status effects. >_<
 
Lol but with all the status effects u can just use an esuna or remedy or whatever it is on FFVII.
