Does anybody else remember this gameshow, The Moment of Truth? It was on quite a few years ago, and I think lasted only one season because of how controversial it was. It works like this. Before they put you out there, they make you answer an array of questions (50 I think) under a lie detector test. These questions range from anything to semi personal stuff like "Are you jealous of your sister?" to hardcore personal stuff like "Have you cheated on your husband?"

They won't tell you which questions they choose... until the next day when you're on the show, and you're reanswering these questions. That's when they say whether the answer is true or false from the previous day's test results. However, if you think the answer may be different, you can choose to change/alter your test answer (or something like that). Around the 15th (by now hardcore serious) question, they bring out a guest.. someone you probably don't wanna see.

Here is the most awkward and yet heart wrenching episode of the game where a woman just throws away her marriage for money.

Do you think you could do that? -cue five minute waiting period music- dololodoo... I believe you can stop and take the money you had from the previous round (Or some amount) if it gets too hard for you, but really... and after ALL THAT how can she think she's a good person?

I probably would have stopped by question 12 where with all that was going...

Well that's the problem with the gameshow from the start really. I enjoyed watching it but I had never heard about it until just now. But I've seen all these ones where husband and wife get angry over their answers on games where they have to think the same thing to win money etc.

I'd say she was a bitch and just out there for the money but that was her. I didn't think she was an overly great person and I guess the rest of her family were just horrified with it. At the same time though, I don't think I have any real skeletons in my closet in comparisson to that. For TV show slike that they always choose someone who is going to do something so bullshit like that. Though I hope it doesn't speak for everyone else.

The only thing I dislike with that show is that you lose either way. You can say you cheated on your husband/wife and win mor emoney, or you can refuse to answer the question and go home with money yet your spouse is going to wonder why the question wasn't a nobrainer? I like the idea of the TV show and I believe at this moment in time I would really have nothing to hide from my friends or family, but that's just me. Maybe if they worded the questions a different way I would think differently.

To be honest though. Airing your dirty laundry for money. It's pretty low.

xD

I remember this show. It was brilliant. They obviously pick the people with the worst possible secrets, though. I mean, sure we all have secrets, but if you're gonna participate in a show where you know you're going to be asked some possibly devastating questions that might ruin your relationship with your significant other, a friend or a family member--a boss, even--you should be prepared to deal with the consequences.

Buuuuut, that is one interesting way to get out of a marriage. Perhaps she did it because there were some preexisting issues that were leading to a divorce anyway? *shrug* Or maybe she just didn't know how to go about bringing up the issues, kept them inside and thought this would be her one and only chance to 'get these things off her chest'. I feel bad for the husband, though.

rofl, what a woman xD

I guess she knew shit was gunna come out, with the questions she's being asked. Her 'I wanna get all this out int he open' excuse is abit cack as well, I'm sure she coulda confessed all her naughtiness behind closed doors....but I guess she'd be divorced and skint then

Personally, I don't have any big dark secrets that I'd be wanting to hide from anyone anyway... unless I worked in a bank and they asked me would I empty the safe if I knew I wouldn't get caught....:wacky:

It's just car crash tv innit, makes for good viewing

To be honest though. Airing your dirty laundry for money. It's pretty low.

Agreed. I can't even bring myself to do that on FB if I'm feeling shit about summat, I'l just get my best mate and wine and have a grumble privately. I guess some people just have no shame

It was ace though, I have to admit, daft bint xD
