Update#1

The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time is one of the games that Nintendo 3DS supporters have been waiting for more so than others. This game, which has seen release on Nintendo GameCube, iQue Player, and Wii's Virtual Console, is hitting the Nintendo 3DS as a remake of the original Nintendo 64 game released in the holiday season of 1998 across Japan, North America, Europe, and Australia.
CLICK HERE to start the Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time 3DS Commercial Trailer from Nintendo. This game is rated E for Everyone by ESRB ratings board (7+ from PEGI ratings board) and will release for the Nintendo 3DS June of this year. Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 3DS will maintain the original games dungeons and story but will also implement a Master Quest version of the game which is somewhat like playing the game in reverse like in racing games (though obviously this is an RPG experience). You can pre-order The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time 3DS at your local Lowell area GameStop or Best Buy.

Between the new handheld systems I have seen so far, I think the 3DS will be the better out of the two. OoT looks absolutely amazing. I still play the N64 version, so I know the game would be a great investment for me.

So it won't be able to be played on the earlier DS systems, right? Not that I own one anyway, but I am a little curious about it xD

You have played it? :gonk:

What do you mean toned down? Not so hard? Oh man, that's what made it one of the best temples! xD

I read Nintendo power.

They said it Now directs you to the points of progress.(AKA the water level switch) and with the touch screen a simple tap with your Finger/Stylus and remove and equip the Iron boots.

and you seem to be able to use your aword under water now. A la Twilight princess.

Sounds good. Waiting on the damn recoil from the whatever-shot was a pain. But toning it down? Water temple was awesome. Had my sister confounded for weeks then I just go in and 20 minutes later I've beat it.

Have they done anything to Bongo-Bongo?

I don't like them directing you to the switches, because what made the Water Temple great is no matter how many times you beat it each new game would still take you a bit of time to complete. It was a great difficulty...but its not bad. I like the sword under water edit and the easier to remove iron boots.

Iwata Asks Line Attack Heroes Staff About Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D

There was some talk a while back about Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D being developed by Grezzo, the studio behind Line Attack Heroes. In case you don't trust ratings classification boards or Australians, the latest Iwata Asks Column confirms this.

This is actually the fourth Iwata Asks for Ocarina of Time 3D. Following an interview about sound, and two interviews with the original Ocarina of Time staff, the fourth column features the game's development staff from Grezzo. They're joined by Nintendo's Eiji Aonuma who once again reminds us how much he wanted to redo the game's tough water temple.

Iwata is asking lots of people about Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D.

I'm not going to get a chance to sum up the column, but for the non Japanese readers, check the Iwata Asks English portal for a translation. (Although they seem to be lagging a bit with the Zelda columns.)

Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D pamphlet ruined Arashi; instruction manual ruined by Nintendo

Seriously, Nintendo, stop it with the Arashi.

Kazunari Ninomiya and Jun Mastumoto, who appear to be Nintendo's favorite amongst the group, are on the front and back of the Zelda retail pamphlet.

There's some actual Zelda inside the pamphlet.

You can see more pics at Inside Games.

In even more disturbing Zelda news, look at what Nintendo decided to do with the game's manual:

Update#2

Insight Into The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s Fishing Minigame

The ongoing Iwata Asks feature for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D has been updated with another entry. This time, Iwata speaks to another round of members from the development team of the original Nintendo 64 game.

Included on the panel is Kazuaki Morita, the programmer for the bosses and the fishing game in Ocarina of Time.

It turns out the fishing game was never “officially” planned for the game — Morita just went ahead and began to work on it in his spare time, until he could present it to the rest of the team and ask them to help flesh it out.
